Capitol Square The opening ceremonies are a big part of the games, it's where you learn about the rich history of the games and can see the first works of each stylist. The opening ceremonies can help decide if you can survive, or if you won't get anyone to sponsor you. A little later on in the training process, near where they are about to go into the actual arena, the Tributes are interviewed by a said host. Each Tribute will be asked questions and they are to answer. During the off season of the games, the square is used to hold extravagant parties, used as a place of commerce, etc. The square is constantly active. The Mentor Control Room The mentor control room isn't directly in the Training center, but a little off in its own building hidden from site. No one is allowed to enter besides that of the mentors themselves, the caretakers, and the Game Makers if need be. Here is where the mentors decide if you are worthy of the gifts that might keep you alive. They plan it out here and talk about all of that. During its off months, when they Games aren't in progress, it remains empty and dead. No light is seen from the inside, as everything in there is confidential. |
