Ally never got out of her master's home more than she had her whole time as an avox. She was starting to guess her master wanted her to be free or something. Only being an avox she was never truly free. She will never be able to talk again, and will never fully be able to trust people. Outside of the capitol as well as inside. Some could turn her in right not for not being inside her master's house.
Ally walked through the town like nothing more than a shadow. She made it to this park were she saw little kids playing. Never know what the Districts are like. Never knowing what it is like to starve. To be cold all through out winter and almost die. The would be cold during the winter but in the Districts people getting frostbite is almost normal. Here in the capitol it is anything but normal.

I walked through the streets of the Capitol, as I had done for the past few days at this point. It wasn't even the Games. It was actually far before them. But I needed to get away for a moment. I just needed to. I sruck to the shadows, looking straight at everyone who passed by with a look of disgust for the people who were just lucky enough.
They never had o enter the Games, or be reaped like we had to. Like I had to. But I actually felt sorry for some people. They weren't being forced with 23 people out to kill them but they had to deal with monsters of their own. Some were avoxes working for these people that were their "masters". Those people needed to be smacked upside the head.
But I was suddenly pulled from my thoughts when I ran into a girl. About 15, 16. She was actually wearing a dress, but it didn't surprise me. People all over here were to some degree nuts. "Hey. Watch where you're going." Sh ejust stared up at me. Not saying a word...

'hey. watch where you are going.' Said a guy when he ran into Ally. All she could do was look up. Ally got herself and smoothed out her dress. She keep looking at they guy. She took out a pad of paper that was in her pack. 'Hi Sorry. I don't know where I was going.' She wrote on it and then passed it to the man. Who was older than her. Maybe he wasn't but he looked older than her by a lot. Ally put her hands behind her back and rocked back and forth on her heels. She couldn't talk or say anything for her to defend herself. All she had was that pad of paper.

She took out a piece of paper and wrote that she didn't know where she was going. I raised my hands and begun to sign to her, hoping she could understand me. "It's okay. No harm done," I signed to her. I put a hand I her arm in case she fell. Walking in those heels? That's understandable. And she was one of the ones I felt sorry for. She was, scratch that. She is an avox. I smiled, letting her know I wasn't going to hurt her. I had no intention of killing anyone. Much less a pretty much defenseless teenager. I may have been mean I the Games but that didnt mean anything to me.

Ally took her pad back and watched him sign its okay no harm done. She smiled. Ally may not be able to sign but she can understand it. "thanks. and hey I may not be able to talk but i can hear perfectly fine." she wrote on the paper and handed it to him. She put her hands behind her back again and waited for him to respond. He was really cute though. He was a victor on top of that. That meant he was involved with the games every single year. He is here every year because of the games.

She wrote on the pad again. She handed it back to me saying that she could hear fine. "I know. But I don't want to make you feel bad. But I can speak if you want. It's okay," I signed back to her. Maybe she wanted to hear my voice. She obviously recognized the fact that I was a Victor. Too little too late, I thought. I wnated to keep walking, nothing to worry about, not even her. But there was something about her, regardless of thw fact that she was an avox. "I'm Zak," I signed to her. "What's your name?" I wrote the last part on the pad and handed it back to her.

"would you please talk." She wrote on the paper and handed it to him. She put her hands behind her back again. She rocked back on her heels and then on her tip toes. 'im Zak' he signed. Ally wrote on the paper her name, "ally" And handed it to him. Ally smiled at him. She took a step forward and opened her hands showing him the scars on her hands. She got them from when she little, running into trees and trying to train for the games but ending up cutting herself on all the weapons. She is not very good at using them.

"Would you please talk," she wrote back to me. And she also wrote her name. Ally. "Ally, that's a pretty name. Is it short for Allison?" Next thing I knew, she showed me her arms, holding scars of her past. Was she trying to train for the Games? Was she really from a district? Just like him? "Ally, what happened to you?" I took her arms in my large hands, lightly holding them, while I was trying to be gentle. I held her up, not going to let her fall. Most people thought I was a creep or a perv because I just happened to be nice to people because well.. They were human..

'Ally what happened' She took her arms back and wrote on the paper, "I was originally from 2. I trained as a career but could not hold a weapon. I dropped them on my arms and have scared my arms." Ally handed him the pad of paper and looked around. People were starting to look at her. If she could talk it would be no problem but she can't and she is talking to Zak through paper. Capitol people think that is bazaar. Unless they know why and won't turn her in. But some capitol people are just rotten.

She handed me back the pad of paper saying that she was originally from 2. She was from the Districts. She was like me. "You're from District 2?" I handed her back the pad, with none of my writing on it. I just spoke plainly to her. "I'm sorry, but I feel responsible for this. I know I shouldn't. But I just do." I struggled to remember the tributes from District 2, but that was 14, almost 15 years ago. She wouldn't know, she would have only been a toddler, so I just avoided asking her. "How did you end up in the Capitol?"

Ally took the pad of paper back and began to write, "I was so sick of being a wall flower that I ran to the fence and went into the woods. I came back with a dead rabbit. A peacekeeper saw me coming in from the forest with it and took me again but this time to the capitol and not to the square. For illegal hunting. You see I slapped a peacekeeper when I was little." She handed him the pad of paper and put her hands behind her back. What was he going to think of her now. She was going to be a wander but instead she came back.

"If you hadn't, you would still be able to talk." I said it back to her with such force that I was afraid I was mean to her. But it was the truth. She needed to know that. But I think since she was the one who suffered through being an avox, I think she got it. I handed her the pad back, awaiting her reply. But I started walking past her, not wanting to read it. I watched her keep writing. I wasn't even sure she saw me start t walk off. But I didn't really want her to either.

Ally took the pad back from Zak and started to write, "Yea I know I would be." She looked up to hand it back to him but found him not there. Ally mentally sighed and looked around. All of the capitol people were around she could not find him in this mess. Ally put the pad back in her bag and looked around again. She was not sure where to go. She forgot which way she even needed to go to get back to her masters home. Then somebody came up to her and put their hand on her arm. Ally dropped to the ground and put her leg under the person causing them to fall. She got back up and ran doing the only thing she knew she could do. She finally stopped in the outcast part of the Capitol. Where all the no good Stylists come. They still make fabulous stuff but the capitol thinks they are just to old to work anymore.

I saw her searching for me. I could find her over the crowd of people, me and my 6' self. I saw her run off towards the place where all the old stylists for the Games go. I wanted to find my old one. The one that took care of me when I was forced into the Games.
She kept walking until someone out their hands on her arms and she swept a foot under them, knocking whoever it was off their feet. I ran up to her, putting a hand I her shoulder. "I'm sorry I ran off like that. Are you okay?"

Another person but their hand on ally. She was about to defend herself when she heard the voice. It was Zak, 'are you okay'. He asked her. Ally shook her head. She was not okay. She needed to get back to her masters house before it got to late. Only she didn't know which way to go. She took out her pad of paper again, "I'm not okay. I don't know where my masters house is I forgot." She handed him the paper and put her hands behind her back. Looking around Ally soon found some white suits coming over to her. Ally did not wait to hear what Zak was going to say before she hide behind him.

She shook her head at me. She wasn't okay. She handed the back to me, but before I read it, she ran and his behind me. I followed her gaze and saw white uniforms. They were stupid Peacekeepers. I thought over what they would want. Maybe they knew she was an avox and should have been at her masters house. I stood straight on both feet, arms crossed over my chest. They would hurt her if they knew. And she said she couldn't remember the way back. "Is there a problem gentleman? Because I'm in no mood for trouble tonight boys." I give them my most charming smiles, hoping they wouldn't notice she was only on the other side of me.

Ally walked over to the other side of Zak. She put her hand though his and moved her head back and forth like she hadn't had a care in the world. This was her best crazy girl act. Her best crazy girl act actually was not moving at all and having her hand on her ears. That's how her master knew he had to give her a break at times. Ally looked at Zak with a distant look just as the peacekeepers began to talk. "No sir." They continued on their way and Ally relaxed and took her hand back slowly. She didn't know if he even liked the fact that she did hold his hand.

She moved to my side, putting her hand in mine. She shook her head. "No sir," the larger Peacekeeper said. "Okay then." They kept walking on, disregarding the fact that an avox and a Victor were just there, holding hand and hand. A 16 and 28 year old. It didn't make sense. Now did it ever happen. I let her keep holding my hand. I leaned down, whispering low in her ear. "What was that all about?" I began leading her down the street. "Who is your master anyways?" We got a good distance. I wasn't even sure where I was going. Definitely not towards my hotel. I just kept walking leisurely down the street, staggering. I let go of her hand as I slowly began to fall to the ground. The world going to a solid black.

Ally and Zak walked down the road. he asked her when they got a good distance away from the peacekeepers who her master was. She didn't even know who he was. He never told anybody his name. He brought girls in and then they left the next day crying. That was all she knew about him. Then Zak fell to the ground. Quick like ally was she got him before he hit the ground. She put his head in her lap and looked around. These are times she wished she could talk. Ally was glad that nobody was around then she wasn't. She would get beaten for not being near her master. Ally picked Zak up with her arms under his arms. She looked around for a little bit before dragging him over to where she knew one of the stylist. The stylist looked at her saw her swallow and moved her hand in a bring him over motion. She brought him over and she set him on a table, "this was the Tribute I was a stylist for." She said quietly and ally fell to the ground. She keep her eyes open but she was tired.

I couldn't see. I could barely hear. But I could feel everything. Even with the world swimming black around me. I felt her try to get a grip on me through her arms under mine. She dragged me a few feet before she let him him the ground. My head was I her lap, her hands comforting me. I heard someone walk over and simply say "This was the tribute I worked on." I couldn't think of her name. Faithlyn. Maybe. I tried to open my eyes, looking like just another drunk. But it was the voices. They had gotten to me again. I smiled and struggled to say Ally's name. Only hurting me even more..

Ally took out her pad of paper and wrote down, 'will he be okay' and handed it to the Stylist. She read it and nodded. Soon Ally heard Zak trying to speak. She ran over to him and held his hand. The stylist left the room to get something and ally was mentally going mad. She didn't know what to do. She let go of Zak's hand and grasped a chair. She threw it across the room and then fell onto the floor with tears in her eyes. She didn't think that she could like this guy. He was like 24 and she only 16. How could she like him. Slowly she crawled over to the table he was on and got up. She slowly bent down and kissed his forehead. She had never done that before. Maybe she was beginning to like this victor.

I heard her pencil scribbling across the paper. I here the click of my stylists heels on the floor. A few minutes later, I heard a chair be thrown at the wall. She came over to my lying and crumpled figure. She leans down and kissed me on my forehead. I tried to get my hand to meet her cheek. I stroked her cheek lightly. Did she possibly like me? All the better. I spoke hard and in very slurred speech. "Hey beautiful. I-I'll be alright." I held her clse, showing her I could be strong. For her.

Ally felt Zak's hand go on her cheek and stroke it. 'Hey beautiful. I-I'll be alright.' he told her. Ally climbed on the table he was on and layed next to him. Soon Ally closed her eyes and fell asleep. She wished she could talk so maybe Zak could hear how her voice used to sound like. The capitol took her tongue though. If she hadn't had done what she did she would not be here with Zak. She might be falling for somebody who might be in the next games. In a way she is glad that she has fallen for somebody who will never have to be in the games again. She will only lose him to old age maybe.

I put her head on my chest for a few minutes and heard her slowly fall into a deep sleep. I wish I could've heard her voice. I pondered over what she had done to end up without one. But on the plus side, I heard rumors that the Capitol was developing something for the avoxes they believed had changed. I prayed that I could get one for her and hear her beautiful voice. I opened my eyes for what seemed to be the first time in hours. I entertained myself by playing with her hair. "It'll all be alright," I muttered to her. As if she could hear me.

Ally had a dream that she was running around in a new house. One without a master. Soon she could hear her own self speaking. "Hun come on down." soon in her dream she saw Zak coming down the steps with a little baby girl in his arms. Ally ran to the bottom of the steps to meet him. She kissed him on the lips and then ran over to the kitchen. Ally brought some food over to Zak and he ate it. Then she started to play with the little baby girl. Then she heard Zak speak. 'It'll all be alright,' Ally opened her eyes to see that it was a dream. She was still an Avox and she could not tell Zak how she felt. Ally slowly lifted her head to look at him.
