Ally held Zak's hand carefully. Almost every capitol person knew she was an avox. If nobody took her when she first came to the capitol then she would have been given to the President. In a way Ally was happy for her master but after all the rude and horrible things he did to her, she started to hate him. Then Zak stopped in front of a building complex and told her something. Only she was to deep in thought to hear him. She looked up at him and then scooted closer to him. Ally had never felt this way about anybody. And for the person to be older than her by a lot well Ally didn't know what to do. She liked Zak a lot. She loved him and cared for him. She just wishes she could talk and tell him this. She lost her pad of paper in the stylists place. So writing it was not an option.

I stopped in front of my apartment building at the Capitol. I had noticed that ally had scooted closer to me. She was obviously scared. Terrified maybe. I walked through the door with her on my arm, walking hand and hand with her. No shame. We had gotten to my room when I realized she didn't have anytning to write on so she couldn't tell what was up. I let her go in first, marveling at the beautyof the apartment. I saw the bedroom door open and a girl a little older than Ally walk out, only in a bathrobe. Damn.

Ally got into the apartment room and looked around. She saw the bedroom door open and another female come in only wearing a bathrobe. Ally's eyes widened and she looked at Zak in terror. Was that his real girlfriend and was he going to tell this other girl that Ally was just an Avox. Ally can't be just an avox. She had blood on her hands again from the scars opening again. Ally even had blood on her clothes because of what happened. she looked at this other girl and then back up to the door that she entered in. Ally looked at Zak with terror again and put her hand on the door nob.....

Ally srill had blood on her from what happened earlier today. And she didn't know that I was a desirable. I saw he look up at me with terrr and hurt in her eyes. Terrified that this might be my real girlfriend and she would be just an avox. And she never would be. I saw her hand go for the doorknob, ready to make her exit. Ready for her to never see me again. I looked over at my "customer" and just glared at hr. Not wanting to say a word for fear that he might scare Ally. I couldn't risk that. I walked over to the girl in the robe and grabbed her by the arm, leadingher to the otherdoor of my apartment, but just before she left, I showed her she didn't matter. I reached around Ally at the doorknob, broke her grip off of it, and kissed her like she meant everything to me. And she did.

Ally watched Zak take the other girl away. Ally looked at Zak when he put his hand behind her and took her grip off of the door nob. Then he kissed her. She could tell in his kiss that she meant everything to him. Ally put her hands behind his neck and kissed him back. She did love him. Ally pulled back and put her head where his neck and shoulder meets. She could still smell the blood that was on him. She hated that smell so much. She felt sick sometimes when she smelt it. Maybe that's why she sucked at training.

After I released her grip from the doorknob, I kissed her with everything I had. I could tell she forgave me and the feelings were mutual. It was the way she wrapped her arms around my neck. Once she pulled away, she laid her head on my chest. I pulled her closer, kissing the top of her head. I smelt blood fill the air. Because we were away from them didn't mean that we were going to survive. But I didn't care about me. I only cared that she was going to be alright. I held her hands in mine, leading her into the bathroom, getting the sink water running. I held her hands under the water, washing away the blood. "Ally, you'll never be just an avox to me. You are my everything."

Those words, the ones she had heard for six years. The words she never wanted to hear again, but with something added in it. Zak told her that she would never be just an avox to him. That she is his everything. She wanted to talk tell him she knew that the words were true. Only she will never talk again. The only thing she can do right is write and fight. Ally could see the blood was away from her hands. She could see some of the scars again. Some of them re opened. Some still sealed. She was just glad that some of the cuts were not to deep. If they were she might be able to die from blood loss. Ally looked back up and Zak and felt dizzy. Maybe it was from all the blood she smelt.

I left her standing there in the bathroom, going to find some bandage wraps. I came back to her in the bathroom. I leaned down and kissed her wrists. Lightly aand careful not to hurt her. I started wrapping the bandages around each arm. I felt theblood start flowing steadier from my back, the already dried blood just crusting and taking up space on my back. I felt her start trembling a bit, unsure of what I might do to her. I stroked her cheek lightly. "Hey baby. It'll be alright. I'm gonna take good care of you."

Ally could feel Zak wrap her arms up. She was afraid of her back though. The scars on her arm were just from the woods when she was ten. The ones on her back though..... well Ally forgot what they were for. She just knew that those could be worse. Once Zak was done Ally leaned into him and closed her eyes. Truthfully she was tired. She just wanted to sleep but she was afraid that Zak would leave if she did. She was afraid of a lot of things but right now she was just afraid of losing Zak. Ally looked around to see if she could find a piece of paper or something. She didn't find anything and she had lost her bag back in the stylist place. So there was no writing yet. Ally looked up at Zak and then back down at her feet. Her bare feet. She had forgotten she took her shoes off to keep up with him.

After I wrapped up her scars, I felt her lean into me. I curled my arms around her, holding her closer to me. I followed her gaze around the room. I could tell she was looking for something to write on and write with. I then followed her gaze down to her feet. She was still barefoot. I took my own shoes off and offered them to her. Yeah, they were huge but she had to ditch her own shoes back at the other building. I led her out of the bathroom into the living room. I sat her down on the couch and started looking for something to write with. I found something and handed it to her. I sat down and looked her straight in the eye. "Listen. I know I have a lot of explaining to do sweetheart."

Ally didn't take Zak's shoes. She really didn't need them. Zak lead her to the living room and she sat down on the couch. Zak found her something to write with. Ally felt okay again and then Zak told her that he had a lot of explaining to do. Ally took the pencil in her hand and slowly wrote. "What do you mean. That girl. I guess." then she handed the paper to him and took the pencil and started to tap her thigh. Ally stopped tapping and pulled her legs up to sit cris cross on the couch. It was the only way she felt comfortable.

She sat down criss cross on the couch. She looked confused when I told her that I had some explaing to do. I didn't even know where to start until she handed me back the pad of paper. She wanted me to tell her about the girl. I took her hands, terified to tell her. This why I never got close to anyone. Once they found one of my customers, they either left me or demanded an explanation then left me. "Iknow you may not believe me but.. I'm a desirable. Ever since I've turned 20, she has been a regular but she ruins everything. She has ruined every serious relarionship I have ever had, which isn't many because of her. I-I'm sorry that the first time I bring youhere, that you had to see her." I handed her the pad of paper, ready for her to write again. "What's next?"

Ally shrugged when he told her about what the girl really was. Almost every victor was. In one way or another. Ally took the paper and put the pencil to the paper. She had the chance to tell him what she felt. "I love you and care for you." She wrote down and handed it to him. She got up but sat back down. Her feet hurt from the running that she had done. Ally rested her head on Zak's knee. She was tired but she couldn't sleep. Not with everything going on that was going on. She could try but it wouldn't work. Her eyes just would not stay closed.

She had just shrugged when I told her about the gir. Almost eveey Victor was to some degree. She began writing again. When I got the pad of paper back, it saidthat she loved and cared for me. "I love you too baby." She layed her head on my knee, trying to go back to sleep. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to my bedroom, laying her down gently. I pulled down the sheets and tucked her in. I kissed her forehead. I pulled a chsir next to the bedside and held her hand the entire time until sleep overcame me. And I hadn't even bothered to treat my own wounds. Goes to show how much I really care about her.

Zak picked up ally and carried her to his room. He layed her down on his bed and tucked her in. Zak held ally's hand until she fell asleep. The one time Ally needed a good dream she didn't get one. In her dream she was being tortured for information she could not give. She was told either talk or die. Well Avoxes can't talk. Ally closed her eyes and then heard the door open. She looked at it was Zak but just as he was about to get to her she heard a gun shot and she saw Zak fall to the ground. Ally woke up with a start and looked to see Zak still there. Ally smiled and layed back down.

I could tell she had a bad dream from the way she woke with a start. She wanted a good dream but didnt get one the one time she needed one. I stroke her cheek lightly while she layer there, covered in sweat. "It'll be alright. It was only a dream. Right?" I slowly feel back to sleep. I had a dream where Ally could talk again. We ha kids. We lived our own happily ever after. But I don't think it would ever be like that. Not after sh knew my secret and I knew that he was an avox. We were two totally different people.

Ally couldn't sleep not even watching Zak sleep. She got out of bed and walked over to the window. She looked down at her arms. They were still in bandages but she could see some blood coming. That meant that they were still bleeding but not a whole lot. Ally felt pain in her back and she fell the the ground. She looked behind her but nobody was there. Ally crawled over to the wall and leaned against it. Her back in so much pain she was almost in tears. Why couldn't she just talk. She would still be in District two. She would be able to talk. Maybe have some friends again.

I held her hand the entire time I slept. I knew she couldn't sleep whenever I felt her hand leave my grasp. Ii heard something hit the ground. My eyes flew open. I went around to the other ide of the bed to find Ally sittng against the wall, looking on the verge of tears. I ran over to her, putting a hand behind her back to help her stand. I felt bumps across her back. I trailed my finger along it and realized it as a whip mark. I led her to the bathroom again. "It's gonna be okay. I told you I would takecare of you." I grabbed the bandages to wrap her with. I slowly lifted her shirt to better look at the wounds. I slowly began tk clean them, careful not to hurt her again.

Ally could feel herself being helped up. She opened her eyes to find Zak leading her to the bathroom. He lifted her shirt to get a better look at the whip marks. Zak tried to bandage Ally's wounds but every time something was put on her back she winced. Ally hated the marks on her back. She knew what they were from but what for she forgot. She hated thinking that the capitol took her memory when the cut out her tongue. She needed it to know who she was before she was an avox. Ally turned around and put her head on Zak's chest. She looked up at Zak.

I saw her body cringe up every time I put something on her back. She turned arou d and looked up at me. She put her head on my chest. I stroked her cheek lightly. "I know it hurts, but I'm only trying to help." I held her closer, not caring if she was without a shirt. I picked her up and sat her on the sink. I lightly kissed her lips. I wrapped an arm around her waist, careful not to hurt her anymore. "I love you Ally. And I promise you that as long as I shall live, I will always love you."

Zak picked up Ally and put her on the sink. He kissed her and told her that he loved her. She believed him. He was the only one who she ever believed. Ally looked up and kissed Zak back. She wanted more but she knew she couldn't. Her back hurt to much. Ally pulled back and put her head on Zak's chest again. Ally tried to blink away the tears that were coming from the pain in her back. She hated this. Every time she felt pain on her back it was like being whipped again over and over.

She kissed me back then layed her head on my chest again. I picked her up again, my arms linked under her thighs so I didn't toich her back becausebI knew it would only hurt her more. I walked back into the bedroom with her. I set her back down on the bed. I searched my closet for one of my jackets. I found a simple leather one and wrapped it around her. "Listen, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." I kissed her cheek. I stood up and sat back down in my chair again. Only for her.

Zak had set Ally back on the bed. Then went to his closet and got her a jacket. Zak but it on Ally and then sat back down on his chair. Ally couldn't stand him being that far from her. She took his hand and pulled. Trying to tell him that she wanted him to lay next to her. There was room on the bed and she could bare the pain if need be. Ally just wanted Zak to be next to her. That was all. She wanted to be next to him forever. Never leaving. Never getting a new master. Only she knew that it might not happen because they are two different people who live two different lives.

After I had gotten my jacket for her, I went to sit back down. She grabbed my hand before I could. She took my hand and pulled me towards her. There was extra room on the bed for me. Could she really not stand me being that far away from me? Regardless, I took her hand. I climbed over her and onto the other side of the bed. I layed down and pulled her into my chest. I layed her head where my chest and collarbone met. I kissed her head gently. Iknew she wouldn't be able to answer me but I still asked the obvious question. "Ally, how can you love someone like me?"

Ally wanted to tell Zak she didn't know. Maybe when he had came up to her in the stylist place and she almost tripped him. If she hadn't she would have tripped him and ran again. Ally turned around to face Zak in the bed. She looked up at him and kissed him on the lips. Trying to tell him that she would always love him. Maybe she was just glad that he helped her out earlier. Maybe that wasn't it. Maybe she really did love him. Ally pulled away and hide her face. She had to remember that he could leave at any point in time and she would never see him. All victors were hated by the capitol. So he might die and what would happen to her. Ally should just get up out of the bed and go back to her master. Get beaten for leaving and punching him. Ally felt a tear run down her cheek as she closed her eyes. She didn't leave though.
