Noah nodded his head in answer to her words, "And I love you too Ravenna." He kissed the top of her head again and wrapped his arms tighter around her fragile body. Very slowly, her breathing started to even out and he knew she was asleep. By this point it was now early morning and he'd made his mind up. He knew what he had to do to try and fix the mess he'd made of their lives. Very carefully he unwrapped his arms from around her and laid her carefully in the bed, tucking the covers around her. Placing a kiss on her forehead he turned to leave the room; albeit rather reluctantly.

At the reception he told the woman his mother would be back and when Ravenna wakes she was to tell her that he had popped out to get her some things, as well as sort a few things out. Outside the hospital, he practically ran to his parents home. He knew it was early, but in all his childhood years his parents had been up and about when the sun rose, so unless they'd changed their ways drastically, he knew they would be awake. Knocking on the door softly, he tried to wait patiently, and he was thankful when it was his mother that showed up to see him.

"Oh dear. You look exhausted. Why don't you come in a get some rest?"

Noah shook his head before stepping inside. "I'll be fine mum. I just came to ask a favour, or two." He waited for his mother to nod her head before continuing. "I was wondering if we could keep our belongings here until I find us a house, I'm going out looking today. And getting Ravenna a ring so I can make this proper somehow. That brings me to my next point, I was hoping you'd stay with Ravenna today and take Moni with you. Moni and Ravenna get on brilliantly and I don't want Ravenna being left alone all day with me house searching." He took a deep breath and looked to his mother hopefully, his fingers crossed mentally.

A smile graced his mothers lips and he couldn't help but smile back. "Of course I will. I'll get Moni up and ready to go and we'll be there in a few hours, I'm assuming she's sleeping now because you're here." He nodded his head before wrapping his arms around her shoulders gently and thanking her over and over again. He turned, opening the door and stepping back outside.

"Oh and mum? Keep all this a secret from her. I want to surprise her with this." He grinned before bounding down the steps and running into the centre of town.

Noah was exhausted. It was now nearing six o'clock in the evening and he had only just finalised the deal, but nevertheless he was ecstatic with what he'd managed to get done.

As soon as he'd run from his parent's home he'd gone to the estate agents in the town centre, and he was at work from the word go. He gave the agent an hour or so to work places out for Noah to look, after he'd given him the brief of somewhere peaceful to raise a child, safe, fairly large but all cost effective. During that time he went to the jewellers to pick out the perfect ring, and he found one straight away. It was delicate, simple yet elegant all in one. There were two silver bands entwined with each other with one fairly small diamond in the middle; in a way it reminded him of the ring his mother wore.

After that, the agent was ready and ever since the centre of town started bustling with the local trade they were off in search of a house. So, over eleven hours later he had finalised the deal with the agent for a house perfectly suited to the type of people they were. It was a detached house, and luckily had only just gone on the market. He was paying below the asking price, but being who he was, the people were more than happy to sell it to him. The location was more than he could have imagined, right by the beach.

He didn't have enough energy to run back to his parents home, so he walked at a content pace. At his parents home, his father opened the door to him with a gruff nod of the head before walking back to his study. Noah headed upstairs and collected all their bags of the items they'd saved from his previous home before heading downstairs to his father's study. He cleared his throat before beginning. "I've managed to buy a house, perfect for us. I'm taking our things now, and going to set it up. Thank you for letting us crash here."

"You're more than welcome son. I wish you the best." With that he turned back to his work and Noah walked out to go and set up their home. He missed having Ravenna and Storm by his side, but he knew they were in safe hands. Ravenna being looked after by his mother and Storm, he couldn't feel more at ease; other than for the rumbling in his stomach.

Ravenna stirred when Noah removed himself from the bed. Her eyes barely cracking open, exhausted. But his shadowed figure was clear. He was leaving. But he seemed confident. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, she curled back up, shifting to where he had laid, and quickly fell back asleep.

When she next awoke, the sun was shining through the useless blinds. Her arms were wrapped around her stomach, one of them had fallen asleep, and was painfully static feeling. Wincing, she sat up. Flexing her hand, and shaking it out in an attempt to bring the blood back to her appendage. Taking a self inventory, she realized that her tongue felt dry and sticky. Glancing around for a button to call a nurse, she jumped at the sight of Noah's mother standing directly beside her with a glass of water and a small jug. A genuine smile came to her face, and she accepted it, drinking the whole cup before wiping her mouth and thanking her. The woman merely nodded and Ven could feel the awkwardness setting in.

That was until Moni jumped onto the bed, and hugged her tightly. The girls head resting on Ven's chest. A soft, tender smile came to her lips, and she laid a hand on Moni's head, hugging her back as tightly as she could manage. The older woman simply smiled from her seat, making a soft comment "Youll be a good mother Ravenna. I can see it" Ven simply blushed and whispered "Thank you Mrs. Culver." Noah's mother stood, chuckling softly and laying a hand on her shoulder "Call me Ingretta, or Ing, or..." She halted for a moment, and Ven looked up at her as her face melted "or Mom... Which ever you prefer"

A tear came to Ven's eye as she nodded, wiping her eyes and tenderly rubbing Monis back. The little girl was whispering to her fetus, telling her stories of her brother. "Thank you... Mom" Ven tried it out, looking down as she spoke, but eyes rising to see a conflicted Ingretta. Moments later, the dam burst, and Ingretta leaned down, hugging the two girls to her tightly. Minutes passed this way.


Moni was the first to move, complaining of the heat and being uncomfortable. She retrieved her bag, stumbling a little to pull out a small pouch of nail polish. "I know I cant see it" The child started "But i know you like colours, so i brought these. Its fun to feel it anyways. I like it too." Ven hugged her, and offered to let Moni paint her nails. The child's face lightened, and she nodded, going to the end of the bed and practically throwing up the covers to get to Ven's feet.




The day passed much the same. Moni confiding of a boy she liked who was smart and kind to her. Ingretta moaning about the socialites she had to hang about for her husbands status. And Ven noting that she was scared to give birth, but that she knew it would all be worth it. That she indeed was excited.



When evening fell, Ven grew worried for Noah, and her sentances shrunk, turning eventually into one word answers and nods. The sky became dark, and Ingretta opened the blinds, allowing Ven a chance to see the stars.

Ten minutes before visiting hours closed, she saw a familiar figure making its way up to the doors. Squeeling, she sat up in the bed, alarming the other two dozing women. Explaining quickly, they packed up their things, ishing her the best. A few short minutes later, the door opened to a sweaty, slightly dirty Noah with his hair sticking in every direction, but a smile on his face.

Noah had sorted all their belongings into the new home. Luckily for them a lot of the furniture came with the house so there was very little for them to actually go out and buy. Their bedroom had a window giving the perfect view and the sand and sea, which would help to calm both his and Ravenna's mind when times got tough. There was a little room down the side in which the baby would have when he or she was born, but all of that stuff needed to still be bought and thought about. The bathroom was pretty much the same as the one back in his old house, which helped ease Noah's mind about moving that little bit more

There was plenty of room for Storm to spread and and run around, as well as the back garden leading straight into the beach. Storm had the perfect playground and Noah would never be late for work. It had been a while since he'd been training that one unruly group, but he'd called one of his supervisors, and they'd taken over till he was able to sort everything out. He should be going back in a week or so.

Downstairs, the house was very open-plan with large sofas and a kitchen that Ravenna would fall in love with. It was all fairly modern, yet there was a hint of old styles mixed in to create the perfect combination to their new home. The photos were hanging up on the wall and now all that was needed was a couple photo and a family photo when the baby came along. Then the house would truly be theirs.

As he locked the front door, he noted that the sky was turning dark meaning that it was time to get back to Ravenna to see her and to relieve his mother and Moni from the room. He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face at the thought of what he'd done and keeping it a secret from her till she was discharge from hospital. He had the perfect moment planned out in which he would take her to their new home and propose in some romantic fashion.

He made it to the hospital in no time at all and soon enough he was standing in the doorway to Ravenna's room. Storm started barking happily and he had to quieten him down before the staff forced him to be kept outside. His face lit up when he saw Ravenna, and it grew even bigger when he noticed how much of a family her, his mother and Moni looked as they all sat around. His mother smiled at him warmly and Moni, sensing his presence, grinned brightly. "Sorry to be gone so long. Had a good day?"

Ravenna bit her lower lip, looking to Noah lovingly as he entered, She shifted on the bed, patting beside her to join her. "Come sit darling, you look exhausted. He entered the room, and she held out her arms for him. "We had a fabulous day my love" She leaned in for a kiss, and lingered a moment, grinning shyly.

He seemed to enjoy that, and for some reason she felt herself sitting up in the bed a little higher, leaning into him a little. His mother read her signs, and gathered all of Moni's things up "Well, i think we had best be off." she leaned towards Ven and kissed her cheek. Ven reciprocated, giving her as tight of a squeeze as she could manage. Crossing the room, Ingretta kissed her sons cheek, murmuring something Ven couldnt hear. Moni said her goodbyes as well, and minutes later Ven found herself alone with Noah.

Once more, her shy smile came to her face. She couldnt quite figure out why she felt this way, but she did. She had seen the man naked, engaged in intercourse with him, and made their child. "Must be the hormones" She murmured, not realizing she had said it out loud.

Noah watched as his mother and Moni as they packed up their things. As his mother turned to leave she leant up to him and whispered, "I trust everything went well today by that large grin." He nodded his head, "I'm proud of you and it's good to see you smile." His mother walked off after a quick hug and then he tackled Moni into his arms. He ruffled her hair and gave her a kiss on the forehead, bidding her a goodbye and goodnight. He wanted to tell her he could come and live with the two of them in their new home, but it was still a surprise for Ravenna.

Once alone he moved closer to the bed, sitting on the edge and kissing Ravenna. He smiled softly. "Hello baby. Have you had a good day? You look brighter today." He kissed her nose, entwining their fingers together. "I love you." He whispered.

Ven grinned as Noah came and perched on the bed beside her once more. His goodbyes had been heartfelt and meaningful, and it warmed her to her very core to see it. "I had a wonderful day. And the doctor said I can go home the day after tomorrow! They want to keep me for a little more observations on the little one" Her cheeks went crimson as she thought about it, feeling his hand weaving beneath hers to hold on as well.

"I really am happy Noah, I swear. Things just... They seem to be falling into place." Her face skrewed up a little "Minus my stupidity, and the few bumps with others. but we can install a security system in the next place we find."

She changed tracks once more, reaching over to her bedside table "Speaking of which, I had a nurse bring me a paper, and in the back, there were a few houses for sale. I thought I would save looking at them for when you got here so we could honestly give each other our opinions." Ven rustled the paper, opening it up, then noting the look on his face "Are you alright my darling? Am I going to fast?"

Worry and fright covered her face now, as her imagination ran rampant in her head.

Noah nodded his head along with Ravenna and couldn't help but smile when she mentioned that she'd had a lovely day and she was able to be released soon. Everything was falling in to place and soon he would be able to propose to her in the best way he could think of; baring in mind he still hadn't thought of anything that would be good enough for his girl. He bent down and kissed the top of her head, but he froze slightly when she mentioned looking at houses.

All of a sudden he had the feeling that the house he had purchased and the house he had moved their belongings into wasn't the house Ravenna was ever going to want to live in. He face turned down, but he tried to hide it as Ravenna rustled the paper about. He had to think of a way to stop her looking at houses and choosing one she wanted; which could end up not being the one he had bought for them. That would kill him inside if he knew he'd made the wrong decision again.

He took the paper out of her hands and sighed softly, whilst forcing a smile on to his face. "Darling, I don't think busying yourself looking at the houses is the best way for you to relax. We can sort that out once you're discharged and feeling up to it." She was about to protest but he shook his head. "Nu-uh. My word is final, you're not going to worry yourself over looking at houses and fretting about how much they cost, I know you all to well. Think of our baby, he or she doesn't need any more stress at the moment." He leant down and kissed her on the lips before standing off the bed and throwing the paper in the bin.
