[Lotus]

Noah didn't want Ravenna to help him, she was the one that needed attending to. Storm came bounding into the room, nearly knocking Ravenna over as she tried to sit down. "Storm! Sit! Now!" His loud booming voice echoed around the small-ish room and he sighed as he ran a hand over his face. He gave in to Ravenna just this once and let her clean his arm even though there was little damage done.

Once he was all patched up he stood up and walked into the bathroom, turning that taps and plugging the bath ready for Ravenna to use. He put all the rights lotions into the water before walking back out and gently scooping her into his arms and carrying her in. He gently set her down on her feet and began slipping her clothes off before he made her gently sit on the side of the bath. He kissed her forehead before turning off the taps and picking her up again. Gently he lowered her in to the soothing waters and stepped back once she was comfortable.

He went over and leant against the sink, staring at the floor by the bath. He wished today hadn't happened.

[Cham]

Ven watched Noah carefully. He was slower in his movements, but also clearly more tender. She peered at him brooding by the sink, and tried to sit herself up out of the water "Noah" She whispered. His head turned, but he did not look her way. It stung knowing that she was causing him this pain. "Noah please... Join me, or take me out. I cant stand watching you like this..."

[Lotus]

"Then don't watch me. Look the other way." His voice was monotone and he knew he shouldn't be acting this way in front of Ravenna. The thing was whenever his parents laid into him about his messed up life, no one around to witness the effect it had on him. No one knew how much it hurt him. This time Ravenna had to deal with it and it wasn't fair. But her pleading was getting the better of him, he couldn't be hurting because in turn that hurt Ravenna.

He had to be okay.

Slowly, he stripped off his clothes and climbed in the water behind her. He didn't wrap his arms around her like normal though. Instead he tipped his head back and sighed as a tear streaked down his cheek.

[Cham]

"Please" Was all she could whisper. She watched as he sighed, stripping down. She could only breathe a sigh of relief. "Thank you" she murmured, leaning forward, and relishing the feel of his hands running against her skin to lift her onto his lap. She then leaned her head against his shoulder.

But his hands remained at his side. She waited a moment, but realized he wasnt going to move. So tenderly she flipped onto her stomach, looking up at him, her hands on the edge of the tub to either side of his head. Straddling his waist, she lifted her hands, running her damp thumbs under his eyes "Please talk to me" She murmured "Im so sorry about today" Her legs wrapping around his waist.

[Lotus]

Normally Noah would have loved the position Ravenna had put herself in, but he just wasn't feeling anything. He reached up and grabbed her wrists before putting them back by her side. He unwrapped her leg, gently, from around his waist and turned her back around. This time though his arms snaked around her waist and held her there as is forehead landed against her shoulder.

"Today was just a day. What they said was true, so I should just get over it. I'm more concerned about you."

[Cham]

Ven shook here head when she heard his words "So you believe them then? Everything they said?" Her voice choked in her throat. Her heart began to race, pain cinching her heart They had called her a slut for being with him, assumed she was only sticking around because of the baby. And every word they slashed at Noah was a reflection of herself.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she pushed his arms from her waist, but he clung slightly to her. She sighed, sinking back, but feeling quite misrable "You think im a slut?" She murmured "You think i would only stay with someone because i was pregnant? Well news flash, im not, so you can kick me out whenever is convienent for you" Her words cut deep, and she knew she was angry at him for nothing, but it was better this way. Better to be angry instead of neglected. If he was going to be sullen and moody, then she could match him.

Two could play this game.

Noah realised too late how his words could have been portrayed. He was angry at his parents for assuming Ravenna was pregnant, but in his eyes that only reflected back on him how much of an idiot he was. How much of a player, a disappointment and a home wrecker he was to his parents. He nearly killed Moni, their perfect daughter and the day that happened was the day he lost his parents. They were only really civil to him for Moni's sake; if they had their way they would disown him completely. But then again, the words they say to him every time he sees them were like they already had.

He felt Ravenna let go of him, but his arms stayed around her. He shook his head at her words, "Don't take my words they way you think or want to hear them. I don't know what I'm saying right now." This time he let his arms drop from around her waist and pushed himself up from the bath, stepping out. "You know what I think of you, and it is never that." He spoke slowly as he wrapped a towel around his lower half, "And I thought you knew I didn't want you to leave so why the hell would I kick you out?" With that he walked out of he bathroom with his head hanging low.

He sat on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. He hated his parents. He hated himself enough that he didn't need their hate to be bared on his shoulders as well. He groaned out before he stood up and started pacing the room. His anger and hurt was welling up again. He made a mess of everything any time he tried to do something right. Storm kept trying to nudge him as a way to distract Noah from his thoughts, but Noah just brushed him away so the dog ran into the bathroom and sat next to the bath with Ravenna, whining.

The next thing Noah knew was a searing pain through his hand as it smashed against the wall. He swore with his teeth clenched together before sinking down to the floor with his head on his bent up knees as he held his hand to his chest. "Smart Noah, real smart." He chided himself before the first tear fell.

[Cham]

Ravenna felt Noah push her forward, slipping out of the tub she had forced him to get into. All her wrongs came crashing down, and her chest ached until she couldnt handle it any longer. She had to do something about this. Her hands moved down her body, scratching off the water softened scabs. Wincing at the ones that held deep, but sighing in relief that every ounce of physical pain she felt, wiped away an equal amount of emotional pain.

Finally she felt better, her body aching, but she could suppress the physical pain. Choose to ignore it. She began to lift herself out of the bath when Storm came bounding into the bathroom. He took a step back, looking frightened. Ven looked confused at him "What is it boy?" He moved to the ends of the tub, and whined again. She looked down to see red water, looking up to the mirror to see rivers of her own blood flowing down her body.

Fright took over. If Noah saw what she had done, he would FREAK the fuck out... So as quickly as her broken body would allow her, she unplugged the drain, and jumped into the shower, not thinking that the water would make it worse. But it did. The water the pooled at her feet was now crimson, not the pale pink she saw in the tub. Ven began to hyperventilate until the world around her looked blurry. Confused, and scared, she began screaming, she couldnt form words, and it all came out jumbled.

The last thing she thought was 'where is Noah..?"

Noah's head shot up at the scream that sounded around the house, followed by the furious barking and yelping of Storm. Storm ran into the bedroom, barking at Noah to follow. He wiped his eyes, panic washing through him as he stood up and forgot about the pain in his hand. He barged into the bathroom and the sight before him made tears stream down his face. But he had to be strong.

He rushed over to Ravenna and shut off the shower, before scooping her up into his arms, awkwardly and curing when he crushed his broken hand. He ran into the bedroom and place her down on the bed, not worrying about the sheets. He grabbed the medical kit and flung it down by the side of her. If only he hadn't smashed his hand and then he'd be able to help her properly. He pulled out the bandages and all the wipes as he set to work on cleaning her up. He cleaned away all the blood, covering over parts of her body in towels so she stopped losing blood. Panic was rising in him and Storm's whining was grating on his last nerves. "Storm! OUT!" He yelled and the dog bounded away, knowing Noah needed to concentrate.

Eventually the blood stopped flowing out of her cuts and they started drying up enough for him to bandage them up after putting salve on them. He couldn't believe what was happening. If only he hadn't of got out of the bath! He scolded himself as he packed everything away and wrapped a blanket around Ravenna gently to cover her. He sat on the floor, at the side of the bed and watched her. It was killing him that he was the cause of all of this. Maybe Ravenna had been right when she said it was better if she left; that way Noah couldn't harm her.

His hand started throbbing but he deserved the pain so he left it to bleed and swell at its own accord. Tears started streaking down his cheeks against as he watched her barely alive form on the bed. He needed her to pull through. He needed her to be awake so he could tell her she should leave and find somewhere new to live. Somewhere away from him, because all he ever did was ruin things.

[Cham]

The world seemed distant. Ven could feel pressure on her, first her sides, then her back, then various points on her body. But she assumed it was all just an ache. Then everything began to hurt. She winced, and turned a little, crying out softly. Her body was wrapped like a cocoon, and she couldnt seem to open her eyes. But she could feel something... Someone. A vague person next to her. Perhaps it was the difference of shadows and light that shone through her eyelids.

It took time. Quite a bit of time before she could open her eyes. Seeing a clearly frightened Noah beside her. She shook her head, struggling within the blankets, wincing again, and after seconds of struggling, she was spent. Her eyes feeling heavy with sleep. So she turned to Noah "If i am dying, let me go..."

And back into the darkness she went.

[Lotus]

Noah jumped when he heard Ravenna stirring and he looked over her, his eyes wide with fright. She slipped back under but those words haunted him. "NO!" He yelled. This couldn't be happening, not now! He jumped up and ran to the phone, dialling the hospital.

"Please state the emergency."

"I need someone over here quick! My girlfriend, she's...she was bleeding. I tried to help and now she says about dying. She's unconscious! Help me!"

"Okay. Calm down sir-"

"Don't you dare tell me to calm down lady. My name is Noah Culver and I want someone here right now! My address is 25 Arc Street and you'd better be quick!" He yelled down the phone and the lady on the other end quickly complied, terrified now by knowing who was talking.

Within fifteen minutes there was a rapping on the door, and Noah ran to fling it open. "Upstairs!" He groaned out and the doctor rushed upstairs and into the bedroom. "Please tell me she'll be okay!"

[Cham]

Ravenna could feel someone prodding her, but she ignored it, letting whomever it what do whatever they liked. The darkness was too cozy to release. So she forced herself to crawl further in, letting her dreams become the moments reality. She only wanted to die... Noah didnt love her. He even said it would be better if she left. Hadnt he? He had said something along those lines. Something had been said about her leaving.

Suddenly, a horrible odor filled her lungs and nose, shocking her awake. She bolted upright, pushing something away from her face, but it was strapped on. Her surroundings were stark white, and unfamiliar. Her fingers clawed at the mask until she could get it off, chucking it across the room. The doctor noticed only when her heart rate spiked, and was now at her bedside, holding her down and shouting something... Noah? Why was he shouting for Noah? Noah was probably back at his home...

But no. His face came round the corner, and she gave in to the doctor, ters sliding down her cheeks, and holding her arms out to Noah, begging for him to just hold her.

[Lotus]

The doctor could do nothing at the home, saying she was too far gone at that moment to just bring her back easily. Instead she was rushed to the hospital, with Noah slugging along behind. He was losing the will to live without her being well and people could see the effect it was having. They moved out of his way, he was like a ticking time bomb. At the hospital he tried to find Ravenna, and it took him a while before he came upon the room she was being holed up in. He wanted to go in but when he pushed open the door and nurse came and shooed him away.

He stumbled back and his the opposite wall, sliding down it. He sat like that for hours until he felt someone tapping his shoulder. A friendly looking nurse looked at him with sympathy and bent down next to him. "Shall we get your hand patched up? It's pretty nasty." She was kind and helped him up off the floor when he looked at his hand in a daze, forgetting that he'd broken it. He looked one last time at the room Ravenna was in before sighing and being led away.

Another hour later and his hand and wrist were in a cast, only bruising and scabs on his knuckles to be seen. The nurse took him back to Ravenna's door, offering to get him food. He just declined and sank down on the floor again. The nurse still hung around though, "Do you want me to feed your dog? He's whining. Maybe I could keep him company for a bit to help?" Noah nodded his head stiffly and the nurse finally left. Poor Storm.

Suddenly a shout of his name was heard and he bolted upright, jumping to his feet and barging through the door. He saw the struggle Ravenna was putting up and ran to her. He saw her holding her arms out but he was unsure if he should touch her, he'd caused all this so he was too scared to. Instead he entwined their fingers together and looked down at her sadly. "You're going to be okay." Was all he said before he starting listening to the doctor.

[Cham]

Ravenna saw Noah coming towards her, and it was as though a huge weight had been lifted from her chest. However, when he gingerly sat on the bed beside her, it came crashing down again. She smacked the doctors hand, who tried to stop her, and climbed right into Noah's lap. He looked uncertain, but she simply nestled into his shoulder, and whispered how sorry she was, over and over and over. Her hands gripping his shirt tightly. "Noah please forgive me" She murmured "I didnt want to die... I just thought you wanted me to"

Snuffling, she managed to wipe her nose without releasing him, the doctor grumbling, but moving around the pole that held up the fluids leaking into her body. She glared at the needles in her arms, but said nothing, knowing it was all her fault anyways.

Her eyes caught a glimps of Noah's hand however, and she questioned him "Who has done this?" She had a vague recollection of a crash before she got out of the bath, but had assumed he had slammed a door or something...

[Lotus]

Noah cleared his throat and shook his head, "There's nothing to forgive." Her next words ate at him though and he titled his head back to stop the stinging of tears in his eyes. "I never want that for you. Not now, not ever! Do you hear me? Don't ever think I want that, I love you too much." He kissed the top of her head and this time managed to wrap his arms around her as the doctor grumbled about.

He looked down at his hand when she did and shrugged his shoulders. "I did. Deserved it too." He kissed the top of her head and brought her nose down to nuzzle into the crook of her neck. "I love you so god damn much. And I'm so sorry..."

[Cham]

Ven smiled softly and nodded, tilting his chin back down "I understand that now. And I love you too." Her thumbs ran beneath his eyes, swiping away the tears that threatened him, her own throat choking up a bit to see him looking so vulnerable.

His arms finally around her made everything seem so much better. Her head on his chest, looking at the casting on his hand "I doubt that very much, and dont do it again, i need you whole" She grinned, and shrugged her shoulders when he nuzzled her, bringing him back round and saying "Come on then, give me a proper kiss" Leaning in and taking one for herself.

[Lotus]

Noah managed to chuckle softly at her words and shrugged again, "I still have a perfectly sexy body. The cast just gives me a sense of danger." He grinned into her neck, liking the fact he could try and lighten the mood again. Especially since the tense atmosphere around them seemed to disappear. He nodded his head when she said about the kiss and looked up in time for her lips to meet his. He pressed his own lips into hers with passion, love and longing all rolled into one.

By this point the doctor had left and closed the door. A few minutes later Noah pulled away and smiled. "Now, promise me you'll get better for good this time."

[Cham]

Ven closed her eyes, soaking in the feeling of his lips pressed against hers. It was passionate, but slow, loving, but heated. All kinds of perfect rolled into one. And for once, she wasnt left wanting more when he stopped, simply enjoying that he had kissed her at all. Knowing that he wouldnt leave her now.

"I make no promises, but as you said 'your perfectly sexy body' is waiting for me once im healed, so i will do the best i can" She stuck her tongue out at him, knowing that he would turn her down unless she was also in tip top shape. Her hand cupped his cheek, giving him one playful kiss "I love you Noah" She murmured, "Stay with me?" Her eyes had begun to grow heavy, but she knew that darkness was all that waited for her if she slept alone. His arms around her fought off the demons waiting just beyonf the veil of consciousnesses.

[Lotus]

Noah nodded his head and let Ravenna lie down. "I love you too baby." He whispered, planting a kiss on her cheek. He was just about to slip onto the bed next to her when the door was pushed open.

"Sir! Your dog needs to be kept under control!" Noah spun around and glared at the doctor. He put a finger to his lips before rushing out of the door. He ran to the front entrance and saw Storm barking and whining his head off. Noah sighed and walked over. He knelt down next to him and patted his head.

"Good boy." He stood up when Storm was calm and started walking, "Come." He walked back inside the hospital, Storm right on his heal. As he got back to the door, he let Storm in and he went and stayed guard by Ravenna's bed, his ears alert.

"Sir! You cannot bring a dog in here. You and your dog need to leave. It's past visiting hours." The doctor tried to be calm but when Noah turned to glare at him he cowered.

"I'm staying by my girl's side tonight and making sure she's okay. Storm is keeping guard. Got that. Now leave us alone till we need you." Noah strode back into the room, closing the door behind him before slipping into the bed with Ravenna and wrapping his arms around her waist gently.

[Cham]

Ven stirred when the doctor first came in, her brow creasing, but staying asleep. However once Noah's arms were off her, her dreams turned sour. She began tossing about, and though it was only moments later that he was back, Her breathing had quickened, her heart rate as well, beating faster until he resumed his place.

If he was watching he could quite literally see the effects he had on her, her body camling from its frantic state, even the heat cooling as she snuggled into him, looking for a good warmth instead of the feverish panic she had felt moments earlier.

[Lotus]

Noah watched Ravenna as her shaking body calmed down. He hated the fact that she was having trouble sleeping, but if he helped then so be it. He sunk further under the covers and tightened his grip slightly around her. He kissed the top of her head before finally relaxing and letting his eyes slip closed peacefully.

He woke to someone clearing their throat and he groaned before opening his eyes. The white light was harsh and he removed his arms from around Ravenna to sit up. "We need to check her over, so could you please move off the bed." Grump ass doctor. Noah huffed and slid off but stood close to keep an eye on everything.

[Cham]

Ven groaned, a hand on her pounding head as she struggled to sit up, hearing the doctor grown at Noah. The dogtor had her stay still, using some button that sat her up with the mattress. Her eyes widened, and she chuckled. But she was thirsty, and it came out gutteral, and really awful. Clearing her throat, she asked as nicely as she could "Can i please have some water?" A nurse who was throwing glances at Noah nodded, flushing and rushing out of the room, coming back with a pitcher and two plastic cups.

Everything seemed to be better, but Ven still felt chilled. She needed another pint of blood to be infused before she could be released. Sighing, and laying back, she wiggled under the covers. As a second thought, and clealy to piss the doctor off, she held out her hand to Noah, pulling him in beside her.

[Lotus]

Noah watched warily as the doctor assessed her. He was oblivious to everything else in the room. Storm came to sit by his feet and every now and then Noah would absent-mindedly reach down to stroke him behind the ear, but still keeping his eyes on Ravenna. At one point the nurse brushed against him and he looked to her, his face blank. She winked and he shuddered, not wanting to be reminded of that time of his life.

Eventually the doctor finished up and Noah was glad there was very little for Ravenna to have done. He grinned at the hand she held out to pull him back to bed and smirked at the doctor, "What my lady wants, I give." His smirk grew wider at the disgust and fear on the doctors face as he slipped in next to her.

[Cham]

Ven bit her lip at his comment. Clearly he thought the two of them were getting it on in there. She made a mental note to remember if he knocked or not from now on, maybe they could test it and see what he would do if they asked him to give them a moment. For a milisecond she allowed herself to wonder what would happen if they really did walk in on the two of them...

She chuckled softly, turning carefully, wincing once when she pulled on one of the tubes. "Damned needles" She muttered, looking up at Noah's face now "Hey guess what?" He seemed amused, and she told him exactly what "I love you" Leaning up and kissing his lips carefully before snuggling into his chest once more.

[Lotus]

Noah chuckled softly at Ravenna's words before kissing her back. When she snuggled into his chest, he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed the top of her head, whispering the words, "I love you too." back to her.

The day progressed like that, with Noah in and out of the bed when the doctor had to check Ravenna over. Eventually the night came and Ravenna was told the great news of being able to be discharged the next morning. So they slept together, soundly, with Storm guarding them at the end of the bed.

Noah woke up before Ravenna on the morning of her discharge and gazed down at her where she still lay sound asleep. He unwrapped his arms from around her, gently, and pushed himself up and over so he was hovering above her. He slowly leant down and kissed her softly on the lips, trailing a hand down to her waist. Her eyes fluttered open with a sigh and he grinned lovingly down at her. "Morning baby."
