New Beginnings (Mai and Cam)

[Lotus]

He pulled his arms around her and checked the clock on the side of the bed. Was it really that time already? His parents would be in bed in, what, less than ten minutes? Just as he thought that he heard his father calling up the stairs, "Isaac! Come and say goodbye!"

He was reluctant to move, but he felt Gia tense under his arms. He knew he needed to go and say goodbye, but moving at that very moment, for some reason, pained him. He groaned and unscrambled himself from Gia, moving slowly to his door. He turned and smiled at her still lying on the bed, "I'll be right back okay? Then it's dinner time." He grinned and went to the top of the stairs.

[Cham]

She thought for a moment, and slipped out of the bed, moving quickly to his side. She wasnt about to let him face his parents alone. Two was always better than one right?

Following the steps behind him quickly and quietly she stood under the glare of his sister, who firmly crushed... er... shook... her hand. A hint of a smile could be seen at the corner of her lips though... Perhaps the girl did have a heart...

[Lotus]

Isaac said goodbye, with Gia by his side which made it far less painful to bare. His sister was fairly pleasant because Gia was with him; which was a it of a change from when he'd come down earlier to get water. He shrugged it off and said goodbye.

As he was about to lead Gia up the stairs his father cleared his throat. "A word Isaac. In private." With that he glared at Gia. He squeezed her hand and whispered, "I'll meet you upstairs. You know where you're comfy." He smiled and gave her a little nudge upstairs.

His mother waited with his father and they both led him into the living for their private chat.

[Cham]

Gia bit her lip. Worried as he told her to leave. To spur his parents she leaned up and kissed his cheek. Whispering "Ill be waiting" Into his ear. She had a surprise for him in mind...

She walked with as much dignity as she could muster up the stairs, turning to watch the trio walk away. She shut his door behind her and walked straight to the wardrobe, the first drawer she opened made her blush. His boxers. She shut it quickly, and giggled, opening the next one. Finding his pajamas. She slid out of her clothes and into his baggy ones. Plaid pants, and a white tee. She folded her clothes and put them back into her bag before getting into his bed and slipping the covers up to her chin.

[Lotus]

They had told Isaac to take a seat which all sounded very formal to him, which was probably why he didn't have a clue what love felt like. His mother sat down slowly and quietly, hardly making any movement or sound. Like usual she was staying out of it. He looked up to his father, knowing he'd be the one to give the talking to and ask, "Yes?"

"Your mother and I wish to express our distaste at you Isaac." Isaac snorted which only made his father raise his voice. "You're rude, arrogant and dumb in the standards of us prestigious Waterman. I understand you may be under pressure, but how dare you act like you have tonight young man. And in front of your sister too. How dare you?"

"Haven't you already laid into me about this dad?"

"Be quiet Isaac!" Now he was talking even louder. "And this girl. You're showing yourself to be better than you are. By next week she'll see you for you and run." Isn't that what he had thought? "She'll be gone and you'll have a new one with you. But how dare you bring a girl over on the night your sister is coming over. It is rude and disrespectful. Especially with what you're doing up there whilst we're being civilised down here. Do you not have any manners? Have we not raised you to be better than this?"

That was is. Isaac was stood up and his fists were balled up. "I'm not listening to a word you have to say any more. You know absolutely nothing about me or Gia..." But the fight had gone. Where was his anger now? "Absolutely nothing." With that he turned and walked out; back to his room. They'd be going to bed soon and then he could gorge himself on all the food they hid from him.

[Cham]

Gia jumped in the bed when she heard shouting. But waited patiently. He could handle himself... Right? Yeah. He could. Besides, he knew she was waiting for him. That should be enough to ensure he came back...

Ah there is was. His solid footfall up the stairs. She bit her lip. Maybe this wasnt such a good idea... Too late now. He opened the door as she was slipping out of the bed. His eyebrows raised as he saw her in his garments "Dont say a word" She whispered, walking up to him and taking his hand. Leading him to the bed where she sat next to him. "I could hear... And i promise you. 100% guarantee... That im not going anywhere"

Leaning in to press her lips to his, one hand intertwined with his. The other on his neck, she kissed him hard and long. Trying to pour as much meaning into the kiss as she could.

[Lotus]

He was shocked at the clothes she was wearing and then even more shocked at the way she kissed him. He was stunned at first before he realised that it felt incredibly good and his lips fell into the same movement as hers. It was a deep kiss and seemed to hold far more meaning than any kiss he had ever had with anyone.

He pulled apart briefly and tried to breathe steadily before whispering, "I'll believe than when we get to next week." He smiled sadly and kissed her lightly on the lips. "Now, would you like to tell me why you're wearing my clothes and what this is all about?" His smile brightened up; a little.

[Cham]

His kiss was addictive. She didnt want to part, but he pulled away, and she respected it. "Well youll have to hold your breath, cause were taking this slowly remember?" Gia giggled, and intertwined her fingers in his. "And... uh..." She blushed "Your clothes are softer?" She answered lamely. There really was no answer for him anyway. They smelled like him? No thats weird. They just made her feel closer in general to him. Besides, she had no pajamas in her bag. They had no real purpose for her, and only took up space of more useful things.

[Lotus]

"You are so strange Gia..." He smiled softly and stroked her arms up and down, pulling her to him and placing his lips to hers again. This time the kiss was far less heated and when he pulled away he didn't even look at her.

He stood up and went to his cupboard, "I'm going to change. But I never wear a shirt, is that a problem?" He tried to give his usual cheeky grin but he had a feeling it came out all wrong. What was wrong with him at the moment?

[Cham]

Gia smiled, and he pulled her to him once again. But this kiss was different. It had the same amount of passion, but was softer, simplier. It held more meaning that the first one. Probably because he had insinuated it...

Smiling and laying back on the comforter she listened to him before replying "I do not mind one bit!" Then blushed and hid her face behind her hands, rolling onto her stomach so she couldnt see.

[Lotus]

He smiled at her, but the effort to comfort her or even laugh had gone out of him. He just walked into the bathroom to get changed. He threw his clothes in the linin basket, not really caring that he hadn't exactly worn them and then caught sight of himself in the mirror. What was his purpose? He felt like nothing at this very moment, even with the most beautiful girl waiting for him in his bedroom.

He ruffled his hair out of its styled way and sighed. His parents had their ways of getting to him when he was finally on a high. He walked out onto the landing just as his parents were coming up the stairs. He dropped his gaze and waited for them to walk past. His father sneered and his head hung lower.

[Cham]

Gia turned and saw him walking out of the room. her shoulders sagged slightly, but she plastered a smile onto her face anyways. But as his parents walked past the room, she held her breath. They continued on, and moments later Issac was back looking dejected. She stood, and gave him a quizzical look "Please tell me whats wrong?" She whispered to him, looking up into his eyes.

[Lotus]

He shut the door behind him but couldn't even get to his bed before his knees gave way beneath him. He lay next to it, looking up at Gia and tried to smile as best he could. "Just, ya know." He shrugged his shoulders and sighed.

"I'd feel a lot better if you joined me down here and kissed me. Are you not finding it hard to resist this?" He tried his grin again, but his tone and obviously his grin weren't quite like they should be. Get a grip Isaac!

[Cham]

She yelped as he plummeted to the floor, standing above him now. His little comments were empty. But brought a small smile to her face. She knelt down and kissed his forehead "I think you need to get into bed. And ill go find something for you to eat" She whispered. "Comeon" trying to heave him up onto the bed by herself.

[Lotus]

Something finally made him laugh and that was the way she was with him. He smiled up at her and said, "I like it down here, and so will you." He tugged her down and rolled on top of her so she couldn't get up. "So, verdict? You liking the floor yet?"

Finally he felt a little more alive, yet the spark he usually had still wasn't there. He leant down and kissed her cheek.

[Cham]

"Oh!" She was pulled to the floor and trapped under his body. Not that she exactly minded... She giggled and felt the kiss on her cheek. It was sweet and tender. Trying so hard. She looked up at him incredulously he was so tough.

She wiggled a little, as though trying to escape. Leaning up to kiss his nose, she said "Yes i do think i am beginning to like being under yo- I mean on the floor." She laughed and leaned back, her hair had fallen out of its unsecured braid and was mussed under her head. Creating an almost pillow like effect.

[Lotus]

He laughed at what she was about to say, "Under me? Well, that's a new one." He was getting there. He was coming back again; but slowly. He leant down and kissed her other cheek, whilst stroking his thumb across the other. It was soft and gentle. He moved his kiss to her lips as he cupped her face in his hands.

That's when he knew what his feeling were. Of course this was confusing the hell out of him, but at the same time it felt so right. He knew he'd never get to experience something like this again so he was going to take the chance while he had it there in front of him. He pulled away from the kiss and looked into her eyes. This was the right time, right now. "Gia... I...l-l..." And he stumbled over his words. Fantastic!

He jumped up and curled his fists into a ball. He felt terrible and now he couldn't talk. Excellent. "Let's grab some food." It was something to change the conversation. Something to do. He ran a shaky hand through his already messy hair.

[Cham]

His lips were so soft. She felt all emotion as she closed her eyes. His body against hers. So tender... So loving... He pulled back, stuttering lightly. She held her breath... And nothing...

He stood and seemed frustrated. What was he trying to tell her???

She took a moment to breath in, then stand ad take his hand. "Sounds good. Just... Take a deep breath ok?" She whispered, turning him to look at her. A kind smile on her face "Im not in any rush alright?" He was going to say it wasnt he? That he loved her... But the moment had pasted. She intertwined her fingers in his, and followed as they went down into the kitchen.

[Lotus]

He tried to play his frustration down, but he knew she saw it loud and clear. They wandered downstairs and into the kitchen, and all the way he had not let go of Gia's hand. It made him feel as if something could go right. She was sort of like a sense of hope for him. It made him warm inside.

He flicked the lights on and went straight to the fridge. He was clattering around, bringing anything they could possibly eat out of it and setting it on the table. He got out plates, forks and knives and then started rummaging through the cupboards. It was going to truly be the best meal he'd had in a long while. Something he'd enjoy; his own choice.

[Cham]

Gia felt something swell within her from the tightness of his grip. Like he was trying to compensate for something. She only allowed a small part of her to hope, for fear she was wrong.

But he went through jsut about every drawer and cabnet in the kitchen. She tried to lend a hand, but he seemed to insist he did it himself. So she sat herself on the bar stool, one hand resting on her cheek, and she watched as he set out a meal. She couldnt wipe the smile off her face. She was sure it looked smug, but she was proud. Really proud of him. He looked intent as he opened containers, poured things out, mixing them up. So she sat, and waited. Her tiny stomach roaring for food. Starving.

[Lotus]

He got everything out of pretty much every cupboard he'd been into in his small, yet fairly nice kitchen. He turned to her and took a seat.

"Take what you want. There's plenty here for you and be, plus about two more." He smiled over at her, but found himself looking away really quickly. Why had he stumbled over his words and not said it? He had felt like it was true at the time and now he was back to being confused.

He watched as Gia started picking at the food, but all of a sudden he wasn't hungry. What was up with him lately? Well, ever since he found Gia anyway.

[Cham]

She looked at all the food. There was so much... She had eaten so little over the past month, that this seemed like a dream. Her mouth watered, and she tried to get a little of everything on her plate.

Trying to be as ladylike as possible, but ending up just pigging out. Issac didnt seem to eat much, just watch her as she felt like she shoveled the food down. She only stopped when nausea hit. She had eaten WAY too much. She pushed back her plate, and leaned into the back of the stool, one hand on her stomach. "Oh... My... God" She mumbled. Her eyes drooping with exhaustion. It had been a LONG day...

[Lotus]

Isaac sat and watched her, looking away every time she caught her eye. He munched on a few pieces here and there, but he didn't stuff himself like he thought he would. He was too angry at himself for screwing up those three simple words. She needed to hear them from him.

When she'd finished he started clearing away the things he'd gotten out, but he made a plate up of one of everything for later on if she got hungry again. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." He smiled sadly and turned away; washing up.

[Cham]

After a moment of letting her stomach settle, she began helping him. Putting lids back on tupperware, replacing it in the large refrigerator ect.

When he began to do the dishes, she moved behind him. He was holding something in. She wanted to know what it was... Wrapping her arms around his chest, she hugged him tight, kissing his bare shoulder. "Thank you" She whispered "Thank you for everything youve done for me..." Resting her forehead inbetween his shoulders. "It means more than you know..."

[Lotus]

Isaac tightened up when he felt her arms around him. She was still willing to be like this even when he messed up. Every other girl would have stormed out, but maybe that was because Gia had no where to exactly to storm off to.

Underneath all the hate towards himself, there was the welling up of the feeling of Gia's arms on his bare chest and how good it actually felt. He tried to finish the washing as he whispered, "It's okay. I wouldn't change what I did today if I had the chance."

With her head resting on his bare skin and her fingers slowly stroking his chest the feeling welled up even more; possibly overpowering the anger. He spun around, cupped Gia's face and crushed his lips to hers in a sorry attempt to make things up to her. "I'm sorry..." He groaned out in between kisses.
