New Beginnings (Mai and Cam)

[Cham]

He pushed her away. She gave a small sigh, and hung her head "Sorry" She whispered, stepping towards the door. She glanced down at her bag. How many times was she going to have to run from, or to this boy? How many times was she going to be let down this night... Why couldnt it all end?

And thats all she wanted at that moment. And ending. Something stable as her eyes filled with tears and she backed up to the door. But she couldnt bring herself to open it. She would leave the only part of herself she really couldnt afford to lose. Her heart. Her dignity was gone. Any Self-Worth was gone. She brushed her hand over her mouth, wiping away whatever is was that she felt lingering there...

[Lotus]

He watched her and the hurt look on her face made the anger at himself subsided all at once. His knees gave out underneath him and he sank to the floor, kneeling there looking up at her. He could tell she was debating on leaving, and he didn't want that. He had never wanted that. He'd given up his bed for her for crying out loud!

He ran and hand through his hair and then over his face. "Gia..." It was more of a chocked sound than anything else and he just hung his head. He wasn't supposed to be the one like this. He was the strong, laugh it off kind-of guy, but when he thought about it this truly was him. A pathetic excuse for a guy. It made his heart sink even further.

[Cham]

She was so torn. Her heart told her to move her ass and either kneel down with him, or Stand him back up. But her head told her differently. Not to touch him. He didnt want her anyways. Just pitied her. He felt bad that he had hurt her, but he should never have come back for her. A few little hurt feelings was better than this. Shattering her heart. Her hopes. She didnt realize exactly how much she had put into him until that moment. The few glances at school. How natural it felt to be in his arms. God. How natural it was to be in his BED. He just made her feel so comfortable. Until now.

Gia wanted to stay. More than anything she had ever wanted, she wanted to stay. But needing his permission, she whispered "Just tell me to Go... One simple word..." she couldnt talk after that for the ache she felt. The tears slid down her cheeks, one hand on the doorknob, half twisting it.

[Lotus]

"No." he half growled at her. Why would he ever say those words to her? Why?! This was all a mess. Why did he have to kiss her in the first place? They were just friends, nothing more. Yet he felt so much more than just friends.

He looked up just as she was twisting the doorknob. He stood up abruptly and strode over to her, pushing her against the door and moving her hand away from the doorknob. "I said no..." he trailed off and looked into her eyes.

At that moment, he didn't care about logic. He pressed her up against his bedroom door and kissed her again. It felt right, oh so right. When he pulled away he looked into her eyes, but he didn't feel truly happy as he whispered, "I said no..." There was still the chance that she'd leave.

[Cham]

Her lower lips quivered as he snarled lightly. It wasnt harsh, but it was a command... A soft sigh of relief flooded through her, but the hurt still filled her face as he stepped towards her, shutting the door behind her.

She looked up at him, her eyes begging for his touch, and he did, leaning flush against her, a soft moan escaped her mouth, and even that was quickly overtaken by his lips. She kissed him hard, her arms wrapping once again perfectly around his neck. Hardly breathing, dazed as he finally pulled away, and she nodded "Ill stay" she whispered, leaning forward to gently peck his lips. Once, twice, a third gentle kiss drew out, and she finally smiled. She felt at home...

[Lotus]

He rested his forehead against hers and tried to smile softly. He didn't have words for her at that moment, his head was still trying to process everything that had just happened to them. They had kissed, three times! They were supposed to be friends. Why was this so confusing? It should be easy. Kiss the girl and date her, but with Gia it was different. There was a totally different feeling around her and being with her.

He kissed her nose and said quietly, "You've probably guessed that I'm struggling with this... And seen through all that big ego rubbish right...?"

[Cham]

She smiled and released her arms from his neck, letting them fall to his upper arms. His lips on her nose was so soft and gentle. It made her smiled bigger. Chuckling she whispered to him "I saw through your ego a long time ago... But if you want to forget all if this. I-" She choked softly, lying through her teeth to him for the first time. She had to. She had no other choice And isnt that what you do for someone you... Someone you love... "I-I understand... And its fine"

But she felt dazed, looking down at the little triangle of skin that showed through the opening of his shirt. She loved him? Or did she just feel obligated to love him because they had kissed. Were her feelings that strong? Yeah... When she pictured him in the arms of any other girl, her heart began to pump furiously, a heated, intense anger filling her. But she reminded herself. He was in her arms. With his arms around HER.

For the time being... he belonged to her...

[Lotus]

He shook his head a little stiffly and managed to choke out, "No... I could never forget this." The corner of his mouth turned upwards in an attempt to smile. "It's just I've never had such an intense feeling about someone before, and especially this quickly. It's got a bit of a weird feeling..." He chuckled a little to take the edge off.

He stepped away from her and shrugged, "But why do I worry so much about that? Look at you, it makes perfect sense as to why I feel the way I do." He grinned a cheeky sort of grin then; more out of embarrassment. "I don't think I could give you up that easily."

[Cham]

A smile grew as he spoke, relief flooding her. "I... I feel the same... Its so different from anything ive ever felt towards someone before..." she looked down, embarrassed to be spilling her guts to him. His laugh brought her gaze back up to him.

"You dont have to worry at all" Gia's voice soft and calm. But happy. As he gestured to her body, her cheeks flushed red "Oh hush up you liar" But she couldnt suppress her smile as he moved away from her. She took his hand and lead him back towards the bed where she took what felt like her place on it. "How about we make a deal. I wont give you up. If you dont give me up" She chuckled and smiled, the rose still tinting her cheeks

[Lotus]

"Since when do I lie? The one and only great, fantastic Isaac Zachary Waterman? When has lying been a part of this?" He gestured to himself and laughed as he followed her to the bed. He sat down and brought her close to him so she was sitting in his lap.

He kissed her cheek quickly and said, "You've got a deal there." He leant down and whispered in her ear, "Do you seriously not know how good you look?" He grinned and stuck his tongue out at the expression she pulled.

[Cham]

His whispers brought chills up her spine, and she shivered, her arms around his neck, burying her head into his shoulder "Dont even start, I know what i look like" She whispered "I dont need to hear it" She groaned and kissed his neck gently, hoping that would distract him. Move on to better topics

[Lotus]

He smiled and stroked her hair, "So you know you look lovely then? I don't need to tell you. Is that right?" He laughed and pulled her face away from his shoulder. "I don't lie."

He stroked her cheek and kissed her forehead. It still felt so strange for him to be doing something like this, yet, with Gia it felt completely right.

[Cham]

She blushed and simply shook her head in disbelief. Yet his touch calmed the frazzled feeling that buzzed inside of her. She straddled his legs, and leaned down, her hands pushing into the pillows beside his head.
"Then you know how equally fabulous you are?" She whispered,
kissing one cheek. then adding
"And your so smart" A peck on the other cheek.
"And kind" ont on his temple
"And generous" his forehead
"And helpful" inbetween his eyes
"And absolutly 100% better than anyone Ive ever met" his nose

Now in a soft whisper "Simply perfect" she pressed a light kiss to his lips, looking into his eyes. She wanted to say it. She wanted to whisper it to him. Trying to suppress it, but she couldnt. It slipped out "I love you..."

[Lotus]

He was about to smile and kiss her back for everything she'd said. For everything she saw him for when he knew that when she got to know him better, she'd run for the hills. Not that there were many hills in their district, but you get the meaning of his thoughts. Then those three little words slipped out of her mouth and her froze.

He looked back at her with scared, confused eyes. He hadn't heard those words in an awfully long time. Not even the girls he brought back ever came close to saying anything like that. He'd never said it to anyone in a long time and now all of a sudden, there was Gia, straddling him and saying those words like she truly meant them with all her heart. He didn't know how to respond and he didn't know what to say, but he needed to do something. He couldn't just sit there like a lemon, so he tried.

"Gia...I...I...How can you? Short time... Those words...long time..." It was a mess and didn't make any sense, but neither did this situation; in his mind that was.

[Cham]

Her spirits fell only a little. she knew he still liked her... It stung that he didnt love her back, but she was stupid for saying it so soon. Shutting her eyes and moving off of him, she crossed her legs and looked at him, simply shrugging as she tried to find something to say. Trying to plaster up a smile

"I-I just... I just... I guess..." she sighed and covered her face, then spilled "I feel like ive known you forever. It just seems... right... perfect..." turning her head to look at him she said softly "I popped our bubble didnt I?"

[Lotus]

He hung his head when she moved off of him and he tried to find the words to make things right. Of course he liked her, but loved her? He wasn't so sure of that one. It had been a long time since he'd felt anything close to being loved or loving someone.

He moved from where he was sitting and knelt next to her. "You haven't done that silly." He kissed her cheek. "It's just...I don't know, y'a know. It's been a long time since I've really felt love towards anyone and I definitely don't feel love at home. So I'm not sure how it's meant to feel. That's all..."

She still looked upset so he took one last chance and lifted her chin up, "Just 'cause I haven't said 'I love you' yet doesn't mean I don't. I'm just not sure. I definitely like you already, which is a strange feeling. After all, if I didn't want this why have I bothered with it?" He smiled the best he could, still knowing the confusion and worry was still plain on his face.

[Cham]

Gia gave him a small grin as he tried to rectify the wrong she had made. "I understand where your coming from. I really do" she took his hand and intertwined her fingers in his. "We can take it slowly. I dont mind that one bit."

She moved closer to him, feeling his fingers under her chin his explination brought a real smile to her. "Its alright. I understand. And I know you would have bothered because your a good guy."

[Lotus]

He couldn't help but grin at that because of the smile that spread across her face. "That's right. A guy with no bad intentions." He stressed the bad intentions, realising it was probably turning into a running joke between the two of them.

He held her hand tighter and laid back down, making sure her head was resting on his chest. The tie was annoying him so he quickly slipped it off and undid the top two buttons, making him relax a little more. "A pace like that sounds nice. Taking things slow for once. Is it just me, or is your life on fast forward too?"

[Cham]

Gia smiled, and kissed his nose "No bad intentions thats right" A small giggle, and she rested on his chest. One arm slung across his stomach, her hand clasped tightly in his. She listened to the steady rhythem of his heart beat, feeling his arm wrapping around her.

"Only since i met you" She laughed and pressed against him, sighing softly. Simply content for the moment. And utterly exhausted. She closed her eyes and just listened. All was calm.

[Lotus]

"It must be me then." He sighed and squeezed her hand. "It is actually exhausting to be in motion all the time, never getting a chance to be yourself; other than when you hide away in your room. And yes, every night I've hid away in my room. How sad is that?" He sighed and rubbed his free hand over his face.

"Maybe, you and me will help slow things down a bit. Make it seem more, normal." He chuckled and kissed the top of her head. "Can you answer me another question?"

[Cham]

Gia turned and kissed his chest "Well now... If you want... We can hide away. Where ever you want. Anytime, anywhere" She snuggled close "Ill do my best" She whispered. Feeling his kiss, she smiled to herself.

But as he asked for another answer she released his hand, moving so she could look at him, her hand resting where her head had been, her head now cradled by his shoulder "Anything"

[Lotus]

He looked up to her from where he lay and smiled softly as wisps of her hair fell in front of her eyes. He brushed them back and started, "Why is my life in such a fast forward motion? Why do I not feel love? Why am I not loved; other than by you? Why do I put on an act? Why can't I be myself? Why do I hide?"

He saw the look on her face as he realised he'd just poured all of that out onto her in less than a minute; and it was more than one question. "I realise that's more than one. I promise you I can count..." He trailed off. Why on earth had he said so much? He looked into her eyes and reached his hand up to stroke her cheek.

"You're beautiful..." He whispered. It just slipped out. Never had he called a girl beautiful before; and meant it.

[Cham]

Shock was easily seen in her eyes. She was stunned, trying to find an answer for all the questions. A simple one. But there was none. She lay there for a moment, attempting to sort the questions into answers when he told her she was beautiful. But she had to brush that off.

Taking the hand that caressed her cheek, clasping tightly in hers, snd pressing it to her chest she began to answer.
"One. Your life is in fast forward because you want out. You dont want to live this sort of life. You know deep down you deserve more.
Two. You dont feel loved because the way your parents try to show love is not how you interpret it. They are cruel, and frankly your father is a..."
She shook her head, not wanting to touch that subject.
"Three. You put out your facade, and arnt letting anyone see who you truely are. I saw through, and i love who you really are" Kissing his nose gently
"Four. You put on an act because you think thats what you need to be loved. But its not..." Her voice dropped quieter as she pressed herself against him, their entertwining hands inbetween.
"Five... You can be yourself. You are. Right now" She took a deep breath. Her voice barily audible
"Six. Your not hiding now are you?"

She looked deep into his eyes and saw something change. It was good. But he looked stunned. Simply shocked. And frankly a little shattered. She brushed her lips over his and whispered "I really do love you..." Pressing her forehead to his.

[Lotus]

He was well and truly shocked. What was he supposed to say now? It had all hit home and what she had said was completely true. She had hit him right on the head with a hammer in less than a day. Is that was other people saw too, and they just acted like they couldn't see through him?

He smiled up at her and squeezed her hand as he gazed into those eyes of hers. "I've got no where to hide..." It was simply yet it said so much more than he could express into words. He was glad for that. He didn't have to say anything; for once.

Then she said those words again. They made his stomach churn and twist in a strange manner, and he'd be lying if he said his face didn't feel hotter. He tried to find the words and she just smiled back. "I...I think...I do?" It ended up being more of a question. Great.

[Cham]

Her eyes showed confusion, but she said nothing, just nuzzling closer to him. "You dont need to say anything. I can see it." She whispered. Her eyes shut again, just enjoying the feeling of him so close. It was all she ever needed. The thought of the next day chilled her, but quickly she put it out of her mind thinking 'just enjoy this moment'
