New Beginnings (Mai and Cam)

[Lotus]

He laughed a little. "You're quite a bad liar come to think of it. I can see in those eyes of yours that you're in love with my bed. And, of course, you would be. I've slept in it." He winked and stood up, stretching his back out.

"You've got my bed tonight okay? And for however long you need it. I don't care what my parents think, you're staying. Until things are sorted out for you back home." He sat back down on the bed, "Deal?"

[Cham]

She chuckled gently, but moved her legs out of the covers, shivering lightly at the cooler air, verses the warmth from the covers. "Although your right" she winked at him "And i do love your bed, Im not sleeping in it. And im not staying any longer than tonight" Her feet touched the ground and she stood. Wobbling, but taking a step. Moving past the foot of the bed, and sitting on the ground where she pulled her bag towards her, and laid down again, using it to support her head. "Im fine right here" She mumbled.

[Lotus]

It wasn't fair for her to sleep on the floor. Not at all. He sat on the edge of the bed, staring at her and trying to figure out how she would stay in the bed. He chuckled and smiled at her. "How about we share the bed? Then you can stay in it? Besides, it's big enough!"

I saw her eyes widen a little and I laughed even louder. "Nothing sexual intended Gia!"

[Cham]

Dread filled her face before he calmed her, and she smiled once again "I guess thats alright..." She blushed lightly and stood using the bedpost for support. She plopped down next to him and laid beck, her knees off the edge. The memory of being scooped up played over and over in her head. It wouldnt stop.

[Lotus]

He laughed at her reaction. "Why on earth would you think I'd have those intentions for you?" Then he stopped laughing. Mainly because he'd realised how rude it had sounded, but because he confused himself. Why did he say that when he did like her? And then there was the fact that it had completely just got rid of his image of being a player. He shook his head and suddenly turned round to her.

"That's not what I meant. You know it isn't! I meant 'cause we're friends, that's all. And the fact that I don't have bad intentions and you're hurt and..." He stopped himself before he said the last part. He knew he'd stumbled over his words and he sighed. "God I'm a fool aren't I?" He smiled a little down at her.

[Cham]

She couldnt help but giggle, turning to look at him better. He really was attractive... She understood what he meant without him trying to explain it, but letting him talk a little longer was worth it. And the way his words rushed together when he tried to make up for something she found sweet. He didnt even have to explain at all.

Gia sat up and looked at him, taking his hands, and looking into his eyes. "Your not a fool alright?" She said softly. She wanted to do more. Say more. But she knew she had already spilled enough that night. The words she wanted to say could wait. She liked him. She really did. Everything about him made a smile and a slight blush come over her. she bit her lip, trying to keep back her words and emotions. So instead she said, "Your a really good guy Issac, and one day your going to find someone who is going to appreciate everything you do for her. And she will give you the world."

[Lotus]

He smiled back down at her softly and rubbed his thumbs over her hand. What she was saying was really making him, what was the word, warm? yes warm inside. He looked away from her though as he thought, 'But maybe you're that girl for that job'.

He was finding it awkward now with that thought in his mind so he suddenly stood up of his bed and cleared his throat whilst running a hand through his hair. "Do you want a drink? I need one so I'm going to go get one."

[Cham]

Gia blushed and shrugged "I guess we will see wont we? But I kindof..." She took a deep breath " I kindof hope so..." She whispered. He tenderly brushed his thumb over her fingers, and she smiled, bringing his hand to her lips, and softly kissing them, watching him carefully. His face showed an uncomfortablness.

He suggested the water, she nodded "Yeah, that sounds great, im parched" She stood, and followed a few steps. When he turned around, looking curiously at her, she awkwardly said "I dont want to be left alone..." Then she looked down and brushed off the dirt she could see. Also running a hand over her rump, just in case. "S-Sorry if i mucked up your bed..."

[Lotus]

Had he really just said that out loud? He thought he'd only thought it. Oh dear, things were going to get awkward if he did that again. He shook his head and when she followed him he wasn't too sure, so he took her hands and shook his head.

"Don't worry about the bed. It cleans up fine. But just stay here 'kay? I'll be a few minutes, promise. It's just 'cause Issabelle can be a bit full on..." He trailed off and looked around as he edged to the door. "Just take a look around in here okay, or do whatever you want. Just stay here."

With that he turned and left, taking a deep breath before facing what was waiting for him downstairs.

[Cham]

He took her hand, and she felt warm again. Like his touch radiated heat jsut through that small connection. He tried to warn her... "But..." She whispered as he walked out. What was she today? She was scared? Well she was... What if they came upstairs... And she was alone!!!

Agaisnt his request she left the room. Sitting just around the corner of the stairwell. Waiting. And listening. If his parents tried to throw another fit, she would be down those stairs so fast...

[Lotus]

Isaac literally plodded down the stairs and took a deep breath before he walked into the kitchen where his mother, father and Issabelle were having what looked to be a lovely dinner. Oh well, they'd have the left overs later when he sneaked down to get some.

He could feel the glares from his father and his sister, but not his mother. She seemed to be staying out of it, as per usual. He gave them a grin and walked over to the sink. "Just getting two glasses of water. Gia has a dry throat after screaming outside so much y'a know. She needs it."

He turned to the tap and filled to glasses, quite enjoying the shocked silence. "How was the exam Isaac?" Oh that was such a lovely sound to hear. Typical it'd be the first thing his sister said to him. All about the work and never about love. He snorted. "Answer me then!"

He looked up and glared. "It was fine. I aced it as a matter of fact. So you can stuff it Issabelle and just get it into that head of yours that I am as clever as you. You're not the be all and end all in this family. I live here to okay?" He continued glaring at her while she just glared back. This new found temper was going to get him into serious trouble, but it made him feel good; being able to stand up for himself.

"How dare you speak to Issabelle like that?" Trust his dad to say something like that. Trying to be careful not to spill the water, Isaac spun round and turned his glare on his father. "I have the right to say what I want, when I want to. I know she's you're favourite child and everything but don't go putting so much hope on her. When she finally messes up, god that'll be the day, you'll be at a loss and be pining your hopes on me. But what will I do, I'll ignore you 'cause I'll be better than you. In fact, I'LL BE BETTER THAN ALL OF YOU!"

He stormed out and back up the stairs into his room, placing the drinks on his desk. "Gia?" Where was she...?

[Cham]

Gia listened intently. A smiled was brought to her lips as he fought back. Fought for himself. He deserved so much better... But terror filled her as stomping footsteps crashed up the stairs. She held her breath and Issac didnt notice her. That was until he was inside his room. She rushed across the hall and silently shut the bathroom door behind her, moving quickly to the toilet and flushing it, biting her lip.

With trembling fingers she washed her hands and opened the door to see Issac on the other side of it. She took a step back, slightly frightened "Oh." She smiled, and couldnt stop. She was proud of him for putting his foot down, not taking the crap his family handed him. "I... ermmm..." She couldnt even think of a lie...

[Lotus]

He smirked at her as he'd realised what she'd done. "Did I not tell you to stay in my bedroom?" He laughed and took her hand, taking her back to his room. He went back over to his desk and picked up both glasses of water and handed one to her.

"A toast!" He raised hiss glass and laughed a little more. "To the both of us for being so incredible, but mainly to you Gia, for putting up with so much." He grinned and her and clinked his glass with hers before taking a sip and flopping back down onto his bed.

[Cham]

"Oh did you... Oops" Giggling, She smiled as he took her hand. Why did she like it so much??? They were just friend. And that was all they were ever going to be.

She gingerly sat on the bed and raised her glass to him "and to you for standing up for yourself. For what you really deserve." She sipped slowly, but as the water cascaded down her throat, soothing it, she drank faster, downing the glass easily. "God i love water" She said softly as she sat back against the pillows, resting next to him.

[Lotus]

He smiled over at her and shrugged, "I never have done till now. You've brought anger into my personality so you're going to have to help me tame it down okay?" He smirked and nudged her slightly.

"Do you want another?" he asked as he swapped his glass with hers, their fingers brushing slightly. It made him shiver and he had no clue why.

[Cham]

She watched his eyes and lips as he spoke, smiling when he said she brought him anger "That not always a good thing, but I think you need it. Your worth more than you think..." he nudge made her blush slightly, and she pushed back gently.

"If it means you have to go back down there, no, im fine" But she smiled as he stood and walked to the bathroom, and she watched. He moved easily, with such grace and poise. When he returned she had already drank half the glass, and scooted toward his side of the bed an inch or so. Not noticeable enough visibly, but a little closer physically.

[Lotus]

He sat back down on the bed and took the half empty glass from her as he handed her the full one. "Right now you need it more than me." He smiled and drank from the one she'd had, not really caring that she'd drunk from it. She didn't have 'germs' as some crazy people would say.

He finished the glass and placed it on the floor next to his bed, before he laid back down placing his hands behind his head. "So what d'you want to do before everyone goes to bed?"

[Cham]

She tried to protest, but he slicked down the rest of the glass as she tried to pace herself through the one she currently had. She failed, and moments after he finished, she did as well, curling up on her side with her arms wrapped around her stomach, just looking at him.

"Well, Im all full on water for the moment" She laughed and turned flat on her back, swaying her hips back and forth there was a very quiet sloshing sound, and she couldnt help but laugh loudly. One hand covering her smile as she tried to stifle herself.

[Lotus]

He just watched and smiled as she laughed to herself. She was funny when she did that, and when it was hysterics, it was even funnier. He got to thinking that he remembered things like this about her, but he didn't understand how. They'd only just met, right? He shook his head a little as it came back to him.

All this time he had noticed her coming into and out of the classroom. He'd looked for her around school, but never truly knowing it was her he was looking at and for. She had been the one to occupy his thoughts when he just let his mind wander, but it was only now that he realised that. And all it had taken was just getting to know her.

He smiled and looked back to her as she was finally calming down. He reached up and undid his top button whilst loosening his tie in the process. After all, he could relax now seeing as they weren't going to dinner.

[Cham]

Gia took several deep breaths, and glanced up at Issac, who was smiling at her like she was a crazy person. That sent her into another fit, but a smaller one. "My God" She said, panting lightly as she lay on her back. "I havent laughed like that in so long." She turned to watch him sinking back into the bed, getting more comfortable. "Do you want me to show you how to tie that knot now?"

He passed her the tie, and she looped it around her neck, measuring it out, and allowing her nimble fingers to move swiftly. She repeated it three times, before handing it to him "Now you try"

[Lotus]

He watched her fingers intently, but when it was his turn he made a hash of it. He'd got the first part right and then it just turned into a messy knot that was hard to undo. It would probably help if he paid attention to what she was doing rather than the thoughts that occupied his mind.

Why had he never talked to her before when what he had just realised was so obvious? He shook his head a little and said, "Guess I'll just have to get you to do it for me instead?"

[Cham]

She laughed and moved closed, gently putting one knee inbetween his legs, leaning over, biting her lower lip. She untangled the knot that was near strangling him, and glanced up as he spoke, chuckling to herself "And what about when your all fancy and high and mighty with your own family? Then what?"

In a mock voice as she retied it around his neck "Are you going to hire me as your official Tie Tier? If thats even a thing?" she was more of making fun of herself, and straightened the neck of the shirt. As she touched him though, she went silent. Her hand running lightly down his chest as she ajusted the tie over the buttons.

"There" She whispered, lifting her hand

[Lotus]

"That may have to be an option until I learn how." He winked at her, but when she went silent so did he. He watched her intently and smiled softly. She really was a lovely person to behold and he sighed.

The feeling of her hand down his chest made him feel like someone had shocked him, and he had to admit, he did quite like it. A strand of her hair had fallen in front of her eyes so he lifted up his hand and gently brushed it to the side, but his hand lingered there for far longer than it should have.

He leant in and the next thing he knew her face was cupped in his hands and his lips were on hers. It felt really good, like the first sound thing in his life. Like something was going right. And, being truthful, the first proper feeling of loving someone; if that's what this was.

He pulled away abruptly after he'd realised what he had just done. Why was he so stupid? He stared at her in shock and then quickly got up of the bed and ran a hand through his hair, "Ah god Gia... I never meant to... God dammit..." He paced over to his window and gripped the window sill as tight as possible, trying to calm down the self-inflicted anger.

[Cham]

It was so sudden, his moving forward, his hand tender on her cheek. And his lips. Almost needy on hers. But she kissed him back. Yet somehow he missed that as he wrenched himself away. Left her there, kneeling on the bed, and moved away. Apologizing. She brought her fingers to her lips as she listened to him. His voice sounded... Different... She wanted him to stop talking. She wanted another kiss...

Silently she slipped off of the bed, moving behind him. A gentle hand on his shoulder. But he didnt move. Anger towards himself this time, stiffening his body. She ducked under his arm and forced him to look at her, her hands soft but firm on his forearms. Holding him there as sle looked into his eyes, trying to convey that it was ok...

He didnt seem to want to hear it, anger filling him. She ran her hands up his arms, and around his neck, leaning up and on tip toe to softly press her lips to his.

[Lotus]

He was angry, and Gia obviously felt that. Hadn't he wanted this? Hadn't he wanted this for so long that he couldn't quite remember when he first starting noticing Gia? Then what was his problem? His problem was the fact that it simply wasn't right. He'd found his first true friend, helped her, she got hurt, his parents thought he was a low life and now he'd just kissed his friend...? It didn't comprehend.

When she stood in front of him though he finally looked at her, but the anger within him didn't die down. It got worse because now her lips were on his and that's not what he wanted. He wasn't supposed to make her want him like this!

He pushed away from her and took a few steps away. "No Gia." It wasn't right. It felt right, but it didn't. So he was a player with a huge ego that couldn't kiss this one girl. What was he turning into?
