New Beginnings (Mai and Cam)

[Lotus]

Isaac looked into her eyes and grinned when she said yes, but then that dreaded word came. She said 'but'. He expected the worst as his smile dropped, but it wasn't what he was expecting. He shrugged his shoulders and went to hold her tight, before she said something else. Could this get any worse? He sighed and listened, but was instantly confused. Family? It was just them at the moment, wasn't it?

Then she told him and made him feel her stomach. At first he was shocked that he opened his mouth like a goldfish, but then the hugest grin spread across his face and for a brief moment the idea of her marrying him was all but forgotten. He pulled her into her arms and stood up, swinging her round as he laughed. He set her down near the sink and pointed to the tap. "Wash your mouth out." She was hesitant to start with from his tone, but as soon as she stood back from the sink, he cupped her neck in his hands and crashed his lips to hers. It wasn't the most romantic setting in a restaurant toilet, but she'd just made his world complete. He pulled away slightly breathless and smiled, "Thank you. You've made me the happiest guy on the planet." He kissed her cheeks, her forehead and her nose with the words, "Thank you" breathed in between each kiss before he placed his lips back on hers.

"Can we go back out and finish where we left off?" He couldn't stop grinning. All of a sudden everything in his life was looking up. Their little girl, Bethany, would never be forgotten but she had just made him more determined to be the best damned father he could be and spoil the little one rotten.

[Cham]

Gia giggled when Isaac's face lit up. Swinging her around. She held on tightly, and once it clicked that he was going to kiss her, she swiveled around water in her mouth, working quickly but efficiently. When she turned back to him it was only seconds before he pulled her back up and kissed her with a love and passion they had not yet experienced. The love of parents for a child. Mixed with grief that they both were thinking of Bethany. And the excitement of the prospects of marriage.

Isaac finally released her, both of their chests heaving in loss of breath. "thank you my love." Taking his hands, she put them on her stomach. "I couldnt have done this on my own." But he was still thanking her, kissing eyer inch of her face so lovingly and tenderly.

Finally they were ready to return to the group. Gia held onto his hand tightly, and followed him out. When they stood at the table, Gia reached over and picked up the box that lay on its side. "I have said yes... And Isaac has something to tell you boys" She grinned and handed him the ring to slip onto her finger.

Isaac could not stop grinning as they walked out of the bathroom hand in hand and he chuckled when she told the group she'd said yes. He took the ox from her and knelt down on one knee. "Now, it wasn't the way I'd expected to receive an answer but a yes is a yes and I couldn't be happier." With that he slipped the ring on her finger. He briefly glanced back at the group, still staying on one knee. He reached his hands up, a little shakily, and placed them on her stomach. "Gia's pregnant. We're going to be parents and I'm going to be a dad!" He grinned as he placed a soft kiss on her clothed stomach.

He expected the guys to be rather brash about the news they'd just heard, saying things like, "You banged her up again.", "Woo man. Get in there.". But no. He heard nothing and then he felt arms pulling him up form the floor. He looked to them and saw Max and Wes before they crushed him in the tightest hug he'd ever been in.

"Congratulations man. We're so proud of you, and my god isn't this going to one spoilt kid." Isaac chuckled and nodded his head.

"My thoughts exactly. But guys, I can't breathe. I kinda need to be alive to spoil my kid rotten." He grinned and they released him so he could go back to Gia. He titled her chin up and placed a chaste kiss on those delectable lips of hers before pulling away and grinning. "I'm going to be a daddy." He couldn't stop the excitement he felt his time.

Just as he pulled away the champagne he'd ordered to be delivered when everything went well came and they all feasted with huge grins on their faces.

Gia looked down with tears in her eyes to her fiancee kneeling on the ground. His hands tender and sweet on their baby. Kissing it symbolically. The guys had wide, shocked expressions, and she nodded to them. They stood, and she was confused. But they each took one of his arms, and pulled him up to a standing position. She felt the girls hands comforting her, and she turned to smile to them.

A tear slid down her cheek, and she wiped it away carefully. This was it... A fresh start. A new beginning for them all. Isaac came back to her and she kissed him gently. "Yes you are." Her blood froze as she truely realized what this meant. No more working. No more taking care of other peoples children. This was her time to raise children that she would truely be with forever. Not attempt to not get attached. She could love them until she died.

"Isaac... Im going to be a mom..." She whispered. He nodded, and she leaned up to kiss him, her arms around his neck. Everyone grabbed their own champagne, and she reached for her water glass. Grinning at everyone. This would be new. Learning what she could and could not eat.

The evening went smoothly, and when they returned home, Gia couldnt help but smile. The air had been cleared, and the stress between the two huge secrets they kept from each other was gone. Once in their room, she slipped out of her dress and into her tanktop and his sweats. Sitting cross-legged on their bed.

Isaac couldn't have been happier with how the evening went. It was filled with carefree laughter and warmth, the grins on everyone's faces never leaving them. It was a start for them all, and soon he knew that Max and Wes would be following his path in proposing to Rylee and Danielle. It would all be perfect that way, and they would be happy. They would forget the troubles of their past and move on as if nothing could ever stop them.

Back at home, Isaac slipped off his smart wear until he was simply left in his boxers. He had a spring in his step as he walked over to their bed where Gia was sitting. He knelt down by the side of her and rested his head in her lap. "I love you baby. More than you could ever imagine right now." He looked up and grinned. "How do you feel?"

[Cham]

Gia let her hands slip into her fiancee's hair, caressing his head as he reciprocated the gentle touch on her slightly swollen stomach. "I feel fine darling" she murmured. His smile was bright, and her whole body relaxed. The thought of going through the same process as with Bethany scared her though, and she began to tense back up. Her stomach began to turn as the nerves and fright sunk back in.

Letting herself plop back on the bed, and her knees bend, hanging over the bed. "Isaac... What if something goes wrong?" Her fingers gripped his hair, and she gasped, "Shit... Im sorry" She whispered, letting go and bringing her hands up to her face, covering it. "Isaac... What if i do something wrong again?"

[Lotus]

Isaac chuckled softly at her reactions and shook his head. Of course it scared him that something could go wrong again, but this time round he knew that it was very unlikely. They were safe from everything and anything that had ever wanted to harm them; even the Games was no a distant, terrifying memory. He pushed himself up and leaned himself over her on the bed. He pried her hands away from her face and grinned down at her. He leant down and softly kissed her on the lips, "Nothing is ever going to go wrong again." He kissed her again. "Promise."

He pulled away, and rolled to her side, wrapped his arms around her stomach; his hands splayed across where their little baby was growing. "You could never do something wrong. Ever. This little baby, whatever it is, is going to be perfectly fine. I swear to you."

[Cham]

Gia wimpered as Issac kissed her softly. But curled her head into his shoulder when he moved beside her. A slow, soft tear rolled down her cheek and onto his neck. "Issac... But just what if..." A sigh and shaking her head as she pulled it out and looked at him.

"I guess we just have to play this bye ear huh? She murmured, leaning up and kissing him gently. Her arms around his bulky chest.

[Lotus]

Isaac shook his head and tightened his arms around her. "Yes we shall and I swear nothing will go wrong. You're going to give birth to a healthy baby no matter what; I'll make sure of it." He grinned down at her before placing a soft kiss on her lips. "'Cause I believe in you and your abilities, and I love you for that and so much more...fiancée" He chuckled softly and rolled over on the bed laughing till he was over the top of her.

Nothing would go wrong for them, and he knew that. "We're back to how we were before Gia. I'm me again, the stupid-acting, happy-go-lucky kid I was and you're the perfect, most understanding, fun girl you always were. A lot has happened but nothing's changed." He shrugged his shoulders at her confused expression. "I thought it made sense in my head. Strange how I can make sense of everything other than speeches." He winked and leant down to kiss her, "But I don't need speeches for you, I can just kiss you instead." With that his lips graced hers a little rougher than before and the sparks exploded.

[Cham]

Gia clasped Issacs hand and smiled "Do you want a boy or a girl?" She whisperd as he rolled atop her.

"Darling, You always were that kid... but things have changed. And youre not that same kid." She grinned and brushed the hair off his forehead "For one your hair is too long again. And two, i wouldnt marry you if you were an immature kid. Your a man. One who is going to take care of his family. Love his children with all his heart." Rubbing her nose against his after he kissed her the first time. "I wouldnt have you any other way than exactly how you are"

She smiled and felt his kiss roughen. Gia groaned softly as desire began to seep into her. "Fiancee... The things you do to me"

[Lotus]

Isaac shook his head and laughed softly. "What if I like my hair long like this? And what if I was still that immature kid at heart? That it can finally come back out now that I'm free again?" He smiled sadly down at her at that point; his childhood had been fairly repressed after he was forced to move away from Gia the first time. It had always been based around grades and being the best, all academic.

"I would never change who you are baby. The good and the bad, both are sexy." He growled softly before flopping back down beside her; teasing her, like he loved to do.

"Boy or girl? That's tough. I'd like both so I want twins if that's too much of a problem." He winked and then chuckled at her expression. "I don't mind. I'd love a little girl 'cause I can spoil her rotten. But I've love a little boy just as much 'cause I'd be able to give him the childhood I never had." He smiled over at her. "Plus, they'd be loved just as much as the other; if we ever decided to have more."

[Cham]

Gia ran her fingers through his hair. When he moved off of her, she rolled with him, straddling his stomach and mussing up his hair. "You should cut it unless you want me to do this!" Giggling softly, but laying down atop him. Lacing her fingers into his hand and pressing her head into his chest to listen to the soothing heartbeat beneath the layer of muscle he had kept up.

Her eyes widened when he brought up the idea of twins... There was no way she could jump in like that. But whatever happened happened. When she saw the joking glimmer in his eye, she smacked him and moved away, giggling. "Asshole. dont scare me like that!" He merely laughed and explained his reasons.

Gia's hand remained laced with his, and she squeezed it gently "Well i will do my best" She murured, thinking about what she would want.

[Lotus]

Isaac chuckled, "I like my hair being played with; however girly that sounds." He grinned at her and turned her head to look at her as she moved away from him. He gripped her hand tighter and sighed contently. "Whatever happens, happens Gia. Whether it's a boy or a girl, or both, I'll love them no matter what. They will be our child and no matter what they'll receive everything and anything; I promise." He brought up her hand and kissed it softly.

"For now let's just think of the possibility of either or. I want to be kept in the dark and find out when it happens." He grinned and rolled back on top of her. "But for now. I want my fiancée to love me."

[Cham]

Gia smiled as h reassured her for the thousandth time. She grinned at him and kissed him lightly "I just want it to be healthy with ten fingers and ten toes..." Subconsciously she lay her hand on her stomach. His sweet gesture touched her, and she scooted closer to him. But his evil scheme came out when he moved atop her again. And she grinned softly, leaning up to kiss him

"She will always love you. Heart and soul. Body and Brain"

Gia groaned gutterally as she looked up to Isaac above her, eyes wide as she saw her love reflected in his eyes. She pulled him down to her, and wrapped herself in his arms, utterly exhausted, and sated. "I love you" She whispered into his chest, nuzzling him gently.

[Lotus]

Isaac's breathing slowly calmed down and he smiled lovingly down at Gia, kissing her softly on the nose. He fell down beside her, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist, leaving one hand around her stomach; loving the fact that that's where their child was.

He kissed the top of her head and whispered back to her, "I love you too fiancée." He looked up at the ceiling as he sighed softly. "We've got a good future ahead of us."

[Lotus]

Isaac's breathing slowly calmed down and he smiled lovingly down at Gia, kissing her softly on the nose. He fell down beside her, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist, leaving one hand around her stomach; loving the fact that that's where their child was.

He kissed the top of her head and whispered back to her, "I love you too fiancée." He looked up at the ceiling as he sighed softly. "We've got a good future ahead of us."

[Cham]

Gia cuddled immediately into Isaac's chest the moment his arms wrapped around her. "Dont go to work tomorrow" Was the last thing she remembered muttering before passing out, exhausted and spent.

And he didnt. He also didnt go to work nearly 6 months later when she asked him to stay home because she was in a mild amount of pain. Pain she had only felt one other time before. Three days early. The doctor told her that the baby was likely not to even come for another full week. But all the same, she felt the pain. And throughout the day, it progressed. Worsening and Worsening. Finally Gia consented to be brought to the hospital.

Whimpering and sweating, Mrs. Waterman dabbed a cool clothe on her forehead whilist Gia whispered for Isaac to help her up. Her stomach was swollen, larger than it had ever been. Larger that she had ever expected it to get. But one could certainatly tell that a well and ready child was within her.

[Lotus]

When Isaac thought about it, time had flown by. They weren't married yet because Gia and the baby were far more important, and in Gia's words, she 'didn't want to look fat'. He had only chuckled at that statement and shook his head, assuring her that he didn't care what she looked like on the day; she was always beautiful.

Now the time had come though it seemed and he was ready. He picked Gia up into his arms and carried her to the hospital with his mum running along beside them. As soon as they stepped into the hospital they were escorted to the birthing rooms and he placed Gia down gently on the bed. His eyes were wide as it all hit him again. It was one thing knowing you'd become a father in a few months, but when hit with the realisation that it was in just a few hours it was a shock to the system. He looked down at Gia and couldn't help but feel pride as he reached down for her hand and gripped it. "We've done it. You've done it and we're going to be parents." He leant down and kissed her sweaty forehead. "You are my world and I love you."

[Cham]

Gia tried not to writhe in his arms when the contractions began, knowing he was doing his best to get her to the hospital as quickly as possible. But this whole scenario was too familiar. The shooting pain, Isaac carrying her, the baby...

He placed her so gently onto the table, knowing exactly where to go in the hospital. They had done the proper walk through almost every week since about 2 months ago. Luckily, the room they had planned to be in was empty, and the familiarity was slightly comforting. Isaac murmured to her, but she couldnt really understand. The pain was too much. Then all of the sudden gone, and she could process his words. With heaving breaths, she replied to him "I love you... I love you so much"

Tears pricked her eyes, and she squeezed his hand tightly as the contractions worsened. Pain ripping through her. Nurses set her up, telling her that instead of the expected hours of labour, because of her nerves, it was only a mere hour at most. Her eyes bugged out, and she whimpered, her body shaking. Blood pressure spiking as the tears rolled down her cheeks "Isaac... If anything happens..." She gasped as the last ounce of pain shot through her abdomen "I love you. And I love the baby... Make sure they know that."


It didnt seem to take long before they had her legs up, telling her to push. Everyone so encouraging and kind even when she was screaming at them in pain. Mrs. Waterman stood on one side, and Isaac on the other. Both gripping her hands. Isaac's face was white, probably from seeing her in such an ordeal. But once she pushed her final push, he seemed overjoyed. The strength left her, and she flopped back on the bed. Breathing heavily. Hearing a cry that sent her emotions over the edge, sobbing loudly and curling up, still clenching her fiancee's hand.

[Lotus]

Isaac hated the pain she was going through and he wanted to take it all away from her; he'd promised her no more pain and yet here she was screaming the place down. His face drained of colour, but he concentrated on her face trying to will the pain out of her. When he heard the faint cry of their baby his head shot up in the direction of the noise and colour flooded back into his cheeks. He gripped Gia's hand and grinned, "We did it." He chuckled and could pretty much bounce like a little kid if he wasn't still gripping Gia's hand. He leant down and kissed her on the forehead, "We did it." he whispered softly.

He slowly let go of her hand and walked over to the nurses with their baby. "Gender...?" He asked sheepishly and they turned round to show him. His grin got wider and he turned back around to face Gia and his mum. "We have a baby boy; Jaeirden Lavar Spencer Waterman." He grinned even bigger as he was handed the little boy in a big blanket and he took him towards Gia as he sat down on the bed.

[Cham]

"Wh-What is this we..." She giggle softly, struggling to sit herself up despite the exhaustion she felt. The sweat that glistened across her. The nurses covered her up with a blanket she was now grateful for as the adrenaline left her body, leaving her feeling chilly. Isaac left for only a moment and she watched as he approched the nurses. When he announced the name they had chosen together, someone to the side scribbled it down on a paper, then left the room.

Moments later there he was... Their baby boy. Swaddled in a pale blue cloth. Small tufts of blonde hair still wet from the quick wash up. Her hand hovered over his little forehead, lips trembling as she whispered "Hello there darling..." Glancing up to see Isaac's shining face "We've been waiting an awfully long time to see you..." He yawned and struggled against the blanket for a moment before shutting his little brown eyes. Gia looked up to her fiancee. "We did it" She whispered, leaning up to kiss him gently.

[Lotus]

Isaac kissed Gia back gently and then pulled away, grinning like an idiot. "Yes we did baby." He looked down at the baby and tears formed in his eyes. He sniffed a little and bent his head to kiss their little boy's forehead ever so gently. He squirmed and little, but didn't open his eyes and Isaac couldn't help but chuckle softly. He looked back down to Gia how had tears streaming down her face, but she still smiled softly up at him. He grinned back and handed Jaeirden to Gia before wrapping an arm around her shoulder, bringing them closer together. "He's got your eyes Gia." He whispered softly.

Just then a commotion outside started and Isaac couldn't help but laugh as their friends managed to run into the room. Squeals and shouts of joy were all that could be heard, and little Jaeirden finally opened his eyes to look at his parents and his godparents. Photos were taken that would be treasured for the rest of their lives and it was going to be perfect.
