The night was silent as the gravesite of district 13 as the moon shone a bright, accusing light upon Bonnie Gaitez' glasses. With a slight readjustment and the most mischievous grin she could muster up, Bonnie couldn't help but smirk a little as her partner in crime ran beside her, jewels in hand and a small amount of panic on her face. Bonnie could've just snatched her up there and then.

That girl is so adorable when she's worried.

As the two of them stopped for breath about a street or two from the jewellers, Bonnie looked at her adorable sidekick - oh god, she would beat me if she heard me call her a sidekick- and laughed a little. "You look like you just shit a brick, everything ok?" she whispered, wary of any witnesses to the crime they'd just committed. Well, crime... the true crime was the price these little pieces of silver would've been sold for if we hadn't... appropriated them for better usage.

She reached her hand out to Claudia's cheek, a small amount of concern breaking free of that cocky attitude that Bonnie had made her usual voice. "You're also freezing cold. Come on, let's get home." Bonnie waits for Claudia to catch her breath before nodding onwards, beckoning her to go first while Bonnie scouts behind them. After all, if anyone followed them it'd be a lot worse than a slap on the wrist coming for the both of them.

Claudia felt as though her lungs were burning. They'd been running for probably about four or five blocks, but the air was cold and sharp inside her chest. It didn't cause an asthma attack, but the mountain air made her cough in resistance. Her small hands clutched onto the strap of her messenger bag that stretched across her chest as she walked. Her steps were slow and methodical, trying not to cause the bag to jingle with the jewels it carried inside. She was walking alone, taking the longest route she could imagine through the streets to her home, so she could try and shake anyone that might be following her with Bonnie scouting from the back. She didn't know how far away they were from each other, but the sooner they got back to their apartment the better. Every subtle sound made her jump out of her skin, and she couldn't help but have a slight expression of panic on her face.

Claudia's breath slipped between her lips in small clouds, condensing in the cold air. As she walked, she wondered how she'd gotten in the middle of the beginning of what would become a crime spree. It had started off as a joke, laughing at the idea that they could make it big in the Capital by stealing a bunch of jewels and living like royalty. However, Claudia had made the joke one night after drinking quite a bit of alcohol. Bonnie, who had been more sober, had the idea to make their joke into a reality. Suddenly things had formed into reality, and after careful planning they'd robbed a small jewelry store.

Of course, there were hundreds of jewelry stores in the Capital. They started off with one that was small and not very well known, and if all went well then they would continue to steal. So far, they hadn't run into any trouble. The lock on the door had been easy to pick and there wasn't an alarm system, at least not a loud alarm. Silent triggers could have been sent to the peace keepers along with cameras that could have caught what they looked like. It had been dark though, and night vision didn't really capture detail all that well.

Relief flooded through as she neared the apartment and made her way to the front door. She kept the lights off as she curled up on the couch and closed her eyes, clutching the bag to her chest. Now there was nothing more to do than to wait for Bonnie to follow behind her.

It was around five minutes later that Bonnie turned the light on as she walked in to see Claudia curled up on the couch.

"I think we're in the clear." With a last long glance outside the door, Bonnie closed it and left the world outside, a smooth wave of relaxation running across her body when she finally got to sit down.

"You ok?" she looked at her partner curled up, the light shining across her features as she smiled and took Claudia's hand into her own, her thumb gently tracing along the veins of her partner's wrist. A small glow remained from the thrill of the run on Bonnie's face as she looked at Claudia, her adrenaline beginning to fade and yet still fuelling Bonnie's smile.

With a slight adjustment of her glasses, Bonnie stood and walked to the kitchen, searching for something, anything, to keep her hands busy and calm the rushes of adrenaline that she knew would kick in any second now. With a quick enough glance, Bonnie knew there wasn't anything. Heck, that had been why they'd gone out tonight for these jewels, wasn't it?

Shaking her head, she turned back to Claudia and grinned. "Don't suppose you're gonna share any of those, are you?" Bonnie nodded to the bag Claudia had been clutching onto with a sly, cheeky grin and a raise of her eyebrow.

Claudia nearly jumped out of her skin when the door opened to reveal Bonnie walking across the threshold. When the light was flicked on, she had to blink several times to let her pale violet eyes adjust, then relief flooded through her as she realized they'd made it through the jewelry shop without incident. It was official, they were thieves. The idea should have scared her, but now they could sell the jewels and they'd get away without a single peacekeeper on their tails. No body would try to help a rinky-dink shop anyway. They had made it.

When Bonnie reached for her hand, she squeezed it back gently, then watched her partner roam around their tiny apartment as if she could decide on what to do. She could tell that the rush of the night was getting to her, giving her a high of adrenaline. She was restless and needed to do something with her hands. She new just the thing that would quell her nerves.

Claudia gave Bonnie a mischievous smile when she asked about the jewels she still had clutched to her chest. She propped herself upright by standing on her knees as they pressed into the cushions. She reached up, placing a hand on her partners pale flushed cheek noting that it was still chilled from the cold night outside. She leaned forward then, bringing Bonnie's face toward hers and gently brushed her lips against her partners, feather light enough to be a tease.

She looked up at Bonnie through her blonde eyelashes, taking her hand and holding it palm up to place the jewels there. "Well Bon, What are you going to do now?"

Bonnie smiled as her lips touched Claudia's, the gentle touch between the two of them sending her mind into overdrive.

"Well, I guess I should probably be bold and do something a little..." Bonnie's fingers trailed up her arm, gently at first with a light grip as she stole a kiss back from Claudia, swift and inviting as her lips felt on her own.

"..like this." Bonnie's hands gripped a little harder onto Bonnie's wrist and side, pulling her close in one swift movement. Their kiss was amazing, as great as it had been the day they'd decided to become thieves. Heck, with the thrill of the chase still flushing Bonnie's cheeks, she couldn't help but feel incredibly powerful as the two moved, Bonnie pushing Claudia back into the sofa as their mouths pressed against one another.

Bonnie could feel her heart racing as she moved her hands across Claudia's body, one hand settling on her cheek and the other by her thigh. She pulled back a little to breath and smile, taking her glasses off slowly and moving them out of harm's way. She looked into Claudia's eyes. "Does that sound like a plan, babe?" Bonnie shook her hair from her face before raising her head and looking her lover in her eyes, giving her most adorably innocent face as she sat atop Claudia's legs, a sultry shine escaping her glance as she looked over her body.

Claudia let out a small gasp as Bonnie pushed her back on the couch and pinned her against the cushions. Her blonde hair spilled around her shoulders and back onto the pillows behind her. She place her hands on Bonnie's back, feeling the dip at the edge of her shoulder blades and the curve of her hips; her fingers clawing at her girlfriend's shirt until she reached the edge, her fingertips grazed against the skin of Bonnie's hips and waist as they kissed.

"Sounds like a great plan." She tilted her hips upward, pressing them into Bonnie who was straddled across her lap, leaning up and propping herself on her elbows to kiss her again. "Sounds like... you could use a distraction."

Claudia pulled her lover down to her, wrapping her slim arms around her shoulders. Her fingers knotted into Bonnie's dark hair and tilted her head back to press kisses into her neck. Claudia's lips trailed along her girlfriend's shoulders, leaving purple bruises on to her skin. "You're restless tonight." Her voice came out in a near whisper as she stopped to bury her face into the crook where Bonnie's shoulder met her neck and slid her hands up her back from beneath her shirt.

With a smile, Claudia took her lover's face into her hands and kissed her hard before backing away.

"True, I am. I just can't help but feel like maybe that was too easy, babe." As she stood up, away from Claudia's embrace, she knew she'd probably be ruining the moment. However, there were more important things running through her head. As much as she wanted to move back, simply sweep her up and make love to her the whole night, things needed to be sort.

"Like my contacts should've called by now." Bonnie sat down in the armchair, looking towards the small sack of jewels, a small amount of tension leaking through her eyes as she ran her hands through her hair and adjusted her glasses a little. "Something's not quite right but I don't know what it is..."

This wasn't like her usual plans. Everything seemed a little too easy, there's no such thing as a perfect job she had once been told by a very old friend. And all the years Bonnie had been a criminal, she knew this to be true.

With a mild groan, Bonnie stood up again and sighed. "Sorry, babe. I'm just a little worried about this now.."

Claudia pulled the rubber band out of her hair, shaking her blond hair out as it fell around her shoulders. She slipped her jacket off of her shoulders and set it on the arm of the couch as Bonnie worried about the buyer. She ran a hand through her hair and stood before her girlfriend could start pacing

She pushed Bonnie back onto the couch and climbed onto her lap, her legs straddling the others. Claudia slipped her hands into her girlfriend's jacket at the shoulders, sliding the piece of clothing off of her torso. She leaned forward and kissed Bonnie again, before pulling back slightly enough to speak.

"Hey, it's okay Bon-bon." Claudia leaned against her, resting her forehead into the crook where her shoulder met her neck and gently sliding her hands up and down Bonnie's back. "They buyer will call. It's late and we didn't know exactly how long it would take for us to get in and out of there. They'll probably call a little later when they know for sure we got the jewels."

Claudia kissed Bonnie's neck, following along her jaw lone before finding her lips again. "You know, we've planned every step of the way. If the peacekeepers were alerted about the crime, they would have gotten here by now. They owner probably wont even fund out until the morning, and by then the jewels will be out of our hands. We got away clean."

Bonnie relaxed a little at the touch of Claudia's lips, her back beginning to slouch back into the couch.

Her arms found their way around her lover's subtly, a small yet cheeky smile escaping from Bonnie's face as she pulled Claudia forward into her lips. "I know, I'm sorry I worry so much... perhaps I should just relax a little, hm?" Bonnie's mouth found it's way to Claudia's neck as her hands snaked about her waist. Starting with small kisses up and down her neck, Bonnie felt her own muscles relax as she found comfort in the groove of Claudia's shoulder.

Bonnie had felt something for this girl for such a long time now, she almost felt like perhaps they could even be happy. She knew about the shit Bonnie had been through, about the inter-district travelling and the starving, even the murder. Yet here she was, sat on her lap with her own arms embracing her. This girl...

Bonnie left Claudia's neck to look into her eyes, her signature cheeky smile finding it's way back as Bonnie felt that slight pull on her heart once more as she held that small hope that somehow, she could be happy again...

Claudia tilted her head back as Bonnie trailed kisses down her neck, her fingers clutching at her girlfriends jacket. She shifted closer to her, her chilled hands leaving goosebumps on the warm skin of her back as she slid it up Bonnie's shirt. Her breathe came out in short gasps as her nails dug into her lovers back. She retracted her claws from the jacket and entangled them in her dark hair. She wanted to drown herself in this girl, and forget about the past. Hopefully she'd be able to one day. She was about to rip the shirt from Bonnie's torso when there was a quiet knock at the door. She sighed and leaned back enough to lay her head on the crook of her girlfriends neck. "Damn."

She slid off Bonnie's lap and walked towards the door, pressing against the dark wood to peek through the hole. "Hey, what does the buyer look like?"

She stepped back towards the couch and reached out a hand to help Bonnie up, "finish this later?"

The knocking on the door allowed a small sigh of irritation slip from Bonnie's mouth as she stood, wanting for more but knowing business was business. She smiled her devilish smile once more before kissing Claudia one more time, lightly on the lips. A kiss that practically begged for another right after it.

"Definitely."

Bonnie looked back towards the door before grabbing her glasses once more. Adjusting them slightly, she walked towards the door and went to open it.
"And honestly, all I know is it's not the regular guy.." Bonnie stood at the door for a moment, her mind wandering as she thought on a few things. Finally clear in her decisions, another knock sounded as she decided to pocket a knife from the kitchen. Something didn't feel right and if this was a trap, she needed to be ready.

It was Claudia who answered the door, blocking the view into the apartment with her body. Her pale violet eyes looked the man up and down as he stood across the threshold. He was young, probably in his late twenties, with a cleanly trimmed very square jaw and slicked back blonde hair. He wore a pin-stripped suit that looked very expensive. The man stuck out like a sore thumb in there rinky-dink apartment complex. She raised an eyebrow at him and gave him a closed off look. "Can I help you?"

She watched him smile slowly at her, his own traveling the length of her body. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end, giving her the notion that this guy was a sleaze.

He took a step toward her, placing a hand on the door frame by her face. He had a very looming figure as he spoke. "I believe we have an appointment."
