Onyx shoved his left hand into his jean pocket, the other was already hidden from view in the other, in an attempt to look more casual. He could feel the cameras behind him waiting for the perfect moment to catch him doing something... un-victor like. Thanks to Glint and his father's wants, he was dressing nicer and keeping a shirt on. Well, most of the time on keeping a shirt on. His jeans had a more slack look to them and downed in one of the many new shirts Glint had insisted he invest in. The black button up was a bit tighter than what he would have liked it to be, but he assumed it was that way for a reason; He wouldn't know since he had half ignored Glint after giving up with his argument of not needing new clothes.
His dark ocean eyes looked around the District Square that was mingled with the early lunch crowd. They greeted him on occasion - most just stared for a few moments as he passed. He answered as politely as he could and kept his lips decorated with the smile he had when he was on stage. Continuing on through the middle of the square, after saying hello to all of the shop owners he knew, Onyx found his way to the small little cafe he preferred.
Flashing a smile to the waitress that was one of his friends before the Games, she nodded and wandered off. She knew his order by now and knew he'd pay just the same. Onyx reclined a little in the chair and attempted to relax. He pulled his hands from his pockets and clasped his hands together over his lap. The white bandages on his right hand were rather noticeable against the dark colors he was wearing.

"Honestly, honey" Glint whispered into his ear. "I don't understand how you made it out of those games if you can barely survive on a day-to-day basis." She trotted around his right side and slid her hand gently down his right arm until it reached his wrist. She stopped there and took the seat immediately to his right, rather then on the other side of him. Her eyes were padded with mascara, which made her chocolate-brown eyes seem even darker than usual, and brought out the small flecks of gold in them. She was wearing a simple one-piece dress, entirely made out of black satin, and if she did say herself, it was rather form fitting. Her feet were endowed with black flats, because the small cafe that Onyx had chosen was a bit of a walk from her current residence.
Her eyes flicked towards his hand once more. "You really should let Ky take the furnace over" She berated. "He never burns himself... But you should keep command over the anvil for now, he lacks the... artistic eye that you have." Her hands brushed a few flecks of metal of his right sleeve. "How are the new clothes fitting? You look rather dashing in this outfit." It was a rhetorical question in her mind, because Onyx would probably just answer in his drone voice, with a basic response of course. Glint rested one hand on the table openly, expecting him to place his hand into her own (even if it was burnt to hell, she demanded he hold her hand). And the other hand wistfully picked up a menu. She never got the same thing, it kept her life out of a rut.
As she peered over the menu, you could tell just how much make-up she was really wearing. It was due to her lack of sleep for the past few months, she was always dreaming of the ones that she had killed, or Leo, who, Onyx himself, had killed. Out of all of the dead ones, she missed Leo the most; he was, at the least, useful, and charming. Glint shuddered, she had recalled her dream that she had the night before, it was that Amira girl. She could still hear the knifes heavy trill as it dug into her scalp and ended her life. Glint herself was the only victor to have ever made it out of the games without so much as a single scratch, but she felt the mental illness that most of the victors had. She put down the menu, deciding that she would just have a few cups of coffee, and looked into Onyx's eyes. He always described them as "dark ocean" colored, and it was easy for her to get lost in them.

Onyx perked up as he heard Glint's voice in his ear. The smile on his lips actually lessened it's curve a bit into a real smile. His eyes lit up and caught the smile as well. For some reason, amongst it all, she still seemed to want to put up with him. Then again, she was the one who kissed him first. He chuckled softly at her comment. "Says the one who keeps me going hm?" He teased lightly.
Onyx flexed his hand a little out of instinct, wincing a bit as pain went up his arm. His eyes locked onto hers before he huffed slightly at the comment of his clothes. "I bet you like me better without the clothes." He remarked in an actual smartass way he would've before. Though they never had sex, Glint had seen him without his clothes on, or so he assumed since they dressed in the same room usually seeing as they shared the bedroom.
He yawned, stretching a bit to relax before placing his bandaged hand into her open one on the table. Onyx tapped the table a bit with his free hand as he grew a little impatient with the wait. "What're you getting, Darling?" He asked in a lazy tone. "Oh, and to your forge comment, I've been rather happy working the forge again and this is my first burn since I've been back you know." Onyx shifted in his seat, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small ring box. "Plus, it was worth it anyway." He sat the box on the table closest to her. It seemed to be his new thing - scheming presents for Glint that is. He had began to enjoy it and this was just the first of the many he did have planned.

[/i] really enjoy your smithing outfit, for some reason it... it makes you whole"[/font] she replied. His face was always so kinder, but she could tell he was growing a bit impatient. "I've decided to only get a cup of coffee. You and I both know how little I've been sleeping lately." The cameras would eat that up, but the real reason was something else. She was still haunted by the people she had killed. And to be honest, she could remember the sounds they made before they died.[/div]
Onyx was either not burdened the same way, or he was too 'macho' to admit it. He did only have one kill, a small smile surfaced, she always had to joke about how useless he was during Capitol interviews. She had zoned out and completely forgot what he said before 'Plus, it was worth it anyway.' Then he placed a small box on the table. One made for a ring, she assumed. "CAMERAS!!!!" echoed in her skull, their mentor would have killed Glint if she passed up a moment like this. She started giggling, like a schoolgirl when she asked to prom. "Oh! Onyx, honey. You really shouldn't have." She slipped the ornate ring onto the ring finger on her right hand. She began to lay on some tears before she croaked out: "This is so beautiful!"
She took up his right hand in her left again, and looked him straight in the eyes before mouthing a swift "I love you." It didn't mean what it meant to most people. For instance, it usually means 'a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person,' but to them, it meant 'I'm stuck with you the rest of my life, but that's okay because we have enough chemistry to get by.' That's when the waitress, Kathy, reappeared with Onyx's meal choice. "Kathy, dear. Can you grab me a cup of coffee and some sugar for the table? I feeling a bit tired today is all." She gave the waitress a quick smile before reconnecting with Onyx. For some reason when she looked at him, she knew he longed for the embrace of someone else... Poppy. She didn't have an issue with Poppy, but he always wanted her. He would have chosen her to go into the Arena with him, even if it meant dying... [/ul]

Onyx nodded a bit, glad to have the support from her to continue smithing even if was just towards the comment of his clothes. "All right." He glanced around briefly, wondering how many people were really that interested in the pair. Scoffing a bit when he saw a few potiential Careers watching him again; the same three he had seen a while before when he was alone the day before in the smithy while Glint had went out. Why the hell did they keep on watching him? He'd caught them out in the back where he had tested his weapons the day before. One had even been brave enough to ask why Glint had more kills than him when he seemed to be the more deadly of the pair. Onyx had sent that one to the hospital and still hoped that word hadn't gotten to Glint over that matter...
Another grin spread wide on his lips when he came back to reality with the girl next to him. She liked the ring he had made. Good, he hoped it would help keep this all together. "I have several more plans for you." He replied, leaning over and giving her a kiss on the cheek as she took his hand. The deep ocean color in his eyes lit up a bit when she told him 'I love you'. He knew what it meant between them, but he had began to wonder if he wanted more and to just give himself to her. "I love you too." He murmured.
Onyx gave Kathy a nod and a small thanks when she brought him his meal and told Glint she would be right back with her coffee. With his free hand, he took a few bites, mulling some things over. Making sure he had got his food down, he spoke up again, "I hope you don't mind the silver. All I've seen you with is gold and thought you needed a little more... variety Darling." He smiled over at her, wondering if she could see through him. For some reason, he hoped she knew something was bugging him. He needed to talk and he only hopped that she did too.
