Kitty was born at night on October 1st. She was named after a cat walking by her house as she was born. Her life was in the polluted District 3. Her mom was never around much, only occasionally. It was mainly because Lydia didn't like Kitty, but also for money, as they we're fairly poor and needed more food. Kitty's dad was around to much though. To much for her liking, at least. She saw her mom more for awhile after Claire was born, but thats about it. Kitty loved Claire very much, and was basically the only one to take care of her. Kitty's dad might have been around all the time, but that doesn't mean he helped at all. Her older sister, Nina, took care of Kitty, Kitty took care of Claire, and Claire didn't take care of anybody. It was a nice cycle, mostly.
When she was ten, four years earlier, her sister Nina died of lung disease because of pollution. Daniel and Lydia didn't care that much, but they we're still pretty sad. Kitty, on the other hand, was sobbing non-stop for a year grieving her loss. Throughout all of that, though, she had a best friend, Maddy. Maddy was always there throughout everything and Kitty would always rely on her to be there. More then everybody else.
