Her father was furious and Seema didn't care. He wanted her to wait to volunteer but there was no way she was letting that whore take all the glory or horribly embarass HER district. He just hugged her tightly and told her to come home safely and she just nodded sweetly and said she planned to. The wait was the worst, no one else came to see her, her only friend was in the other room saying goodbye to his parents and friends so just waited her foot tapping in annoyance. Finally the peace keepers came to escort her to the car, she stood elegantly and smoothed her skirt, fixed her makeup and prepared to meet the cameras smiling. Antony was there of course and they entered the car smiling broadly waving to the adoring fans wanting to get one last glimpse of them. At the station Seema flashed her best smile one last time before the doors closed and she rolled her eyes, "Damn groupies." She walked into the main dining car and shrugged at the oppulance, her living room looked fancier. Pulling a pastry off the tray she leaned against the bar and took a dainty nibble. Antony was greeted by his Mother, Father, and his dog almost immediately after entering the waiting room. He wore a smile even though he saw his mother in tears and his father in a detached gruff state. He made sure to explain to them in the briefest way he could as to why he chose to volunteer and why he had chosen his District partner. All the while leaving out one small detail; he thought she was rather sexy in a primal way males typically did, but he wasn't that shallow. Seema was his new best friend after all.
After his meeting with his family, a few of his friends who had been told last minute he was volunteering did get to see him even more briefly than his parents did to wish him well and the like. Upon their departure, Antony was escorted to the train. He gave the crowd one last big grin, waved once, and stepped inside the train car.
He stretched and laughed a little at Seema's "groupies" comment. Antony mimicked her, taking a sweet from the table and beginning to take small bites from it as he stood looking about the car. He was unimpressed by it, but hey, the food was good so he wouldn't complain unless the drinks they were given were bad.
Finally, after a good observation of the car, his hazel eyes laid back on Seema. "Seems that the winner is already decided hm?" He grinned a bit. "What's first on our to do list?" He asked the question more for himself than her so he'd be sure she was ready to win. There was no way in hell he was going to kill her... well, that's what he thought now anyway.

Seema smiled at Antony, "of course the winner is already decided, one of us of course!" She daintily sat on the edge of a couch set into the wall of the train. "I think first off we should eat... Or find our mentor." She said looking around the rather empty car. "where is everyone." She asked, tucking an errant hair behind her ear. Seema wasn't scared, she was barely even nervous, she trusted Antony and on some level that she didn't understand liked him. Her whole life she was taught to be a fighter to show no mercy, never had anyone taught her what love was, or attraction, all her time was spent learning the best way to kill. She wasn't even that good a friend because she was always in her mind deducing the best way to kill them if the need arose. She never really noticed but she never thought of Antony that, she never thought of ways to kill him which in retrospect seeing as they are both now tributes it would work out better if she did but her mind never went there when it came to him.

Antony chuckled again at her willingness to know they had basically it all planned out up until they got into the training center together to see the other tributes. "As long as we don't have any archers again this year, I think it's safe to say we're well off." He agreed with another smile, this time a real one that shown through to his eyes. He nodded slowly and looked around the empty car.
"I'd guess they're both down in one of the other cars?" Antony offered up as an explanation. He tossed the last few small bites into his mouth and walked to one of the doors towards the end of the train. He shrugged as he looked through the window on the door. Instead of agreeing with her idea to go find their mentors, he dropped down in the window bench seat and watched the scenery fly by.
"What are you really thinking Seema?" His question was voiced in the utmost curiosity. He had also figured she had no reason to lie to him, but he could be wrong. His head tilted slightly to the side as if he was lost in thought as he watched the mountains. "I'm kind of nervous this won't be as easy as Glint and Onyx made it out to be last year. Also, do we even have any idea if they've changed the rule back to where two people can win still? If that's the case, that would throw off our plan in most cases since we'd then be working against more pairs anyway." Antony trailed off and looked back towards his district partner.
"Hunting is going to be a lot harder as well if we lose one of our own you know. There may be some random group from the lower districts again." He was trying to reason with the fact they may be working against something totally different than what they were actually preparing for. They didn't know because the Capitol hadn't said anything to the Districts directly yet about this issue. If they had, he figured the only one who would know is the weird little brother of Onyx Smith who ran around with a radio in his ear.

"Yeah, archers would screw us over majorly." Seema said scooting back and watching the trees race by. She shrugged at the thought of them being somewhere else, they would make an appearance when they found it necesary. Quite frankly she wished she didn't have to deal with them at all. All victors were the same they thought they new everything because they won once, every arena was different and the surprises that waited for Antony and Seema would be totally different than what the others had faced. She was jerked out of her revere when Antony asked her what she was thinking. She smiled, a genuine smile something rarely seen, "Nothing, just think about our competition, do you think the other reapings are on yet?" She asked perking up. Seeing who their opponents would be made Seema excited. "Yeah, Glint and Onyx made it look easy, though the other tributes definitely helped, you know dying so easily. I hope they did keep that rule." Seema said pouting, "I want you to come home too!" yes she was arrogant, and that was just how she was. "I'm more curious as to what is going to go on this year, I mean if the lower districts do form another strong alliance, which is unlikely they are about as organized as a group of two year olds with sticks, if we stick together we should wipe the field with them, we are an unstoppable team all we should really have to worry about is the other careers."

Antony nodded and grew quiet as he listened to Seema. It was true that their mentors before them made this all look much easier than it was to be believed, but he had a good feeling that only one of them were going to come back alive. After all, Glint and Onyx did wipe out basically everyone in a matter of days in their hunting spree. Seema and Antony were going to have a target on their backs for revenge he assumed. A soft sigh escaped his lips as the scenery slowly began to change as they grew ever nearer to the Capitol.
"The other Careers will be up for some hunting for a while I presume. I bet we'll need to keep watch for each other if we sleep when we're amongst them." He answered, purposely ignoring the fact she mentioned him wanting to come home. Antony had already decided that Seema would go home at the cost of his life. He may not have been actually in love with her, but over the past few months she really had became his best friend amongst the others.
Slowly, he nodded again to himself. "Most of all we'll need to stick together and stay with our plan of doing so. We can fix the actual details when we see what we're up against - that speaking for the Arena itself and its tributes." His eyes moved from the window to lay on his District partner. "We'll come home." Antony said with a bit of confidence that wasn't there before.
Looking around the car, their mentors still hadn't made an appearance. He wondered if they had been fighting over something or if they just didn't care about giving them advice if the two didn't seek them out. Shaking his head and shrugging at the idea, he turned his attention back to Seema at the point she would've started to answer him.

Seema Gevira District One Tribute"Sticking together is definitely our top priority." Seema replied thoughtfully. "So, gong goes off, first thing we do go to the corn, get weapons. Kill any and all who get in our way. Except the other careers of course, as long as we have created an alliance with them. Besides that we really have to see what our opponents are like. We can make all the plans we want right now, but the moment we step into the arena everything could change depending on something as simple as the arena itself or even what weapons we have available to us. There are so many factors to consider when thinking of our ultimate success." She certainly wasn't a humble child that was for sure. Seema looked around the car and pursed her lips in annoyance, "Where on earth are they? I mean seriuosly we have already been on the train for a while now. When we are mentors we are definitely greeting our tributes, this is just plain rude." In Seemas mind there was no other out come, they would win, and she meant they. Antony was going home to even if she had to have her father bribe the capitol to do it. In Seemas mind there was no other alternative, she was a career as was Antony no matter how well trained the poor districts were they had been training their entire lives to win these games. No archer from the lowly district nine was going to change that. Seema stood and smoothed her skirt, she looked around the car for the remote to turn the television on. "The recap should atleast be on by now. Get an inkling of an idea of what we are up against. Aha!" Seema said as she found the remote. Clicking it on she was just in time to see hers and Antonys smiling face disappear onto the train.
THANKS TO THE LOVELY KATIE FOR THE CODING!
