Time seemed to move so slowly, my body numb as James's suddenly took my hand. Though the
feeling of his warmth usually comforted me, it didn't. Nothing but hot sweat started to cover my
hand. I was nervous, obviously, the sunshine peeking through the window of the car, straight
into my heavily clouded eyes. How could the sun shine so brightly on a day like this? A day I was
reaped and swept away from my family so easily like that? A day that the love of my life and my
child will be taken from me. So giving. I turned to face James, our hands still clasped together.
Close to his ear I whispered softly. "It will be okay," My free hand touched his cheek and rubbed it gently
as our lips touched and our eyes met. There was something different about them now that I couldn't
get ahold of. The more I looked into them the more sadness I saw. He was broken now, unlike
the boyish man I had seen this morning laughing and giggling with my mother over a nice cup
of tea. It pained me to see this sadness that I had no control over so quickly pulled him in for a
deep long kiss and smiled. "Just remember that I love lots okay? No matter what happens," It strained
me to say those words but it was the only way.. a new awkwardness forming for many moments before
the car stopped and we were quickly pushed into the train. It wasn't as dazzling as I had imagined in my
dreams as a kid. A rainbow of colors. Milkshakes. Candy. A kid's wildest dream. Now I wasn't a kid
anymore though. I would have to grow up sometime. Might as well be now since I have the time.
Upon entering the train I quickly reunited with James and took his hand, kissing it tenderly as I let
go and walked towards the table, ordering a water. I watched closely as the avox wandered the kitchen
like a chicken with it's head cut off, placing the glass roughly on the table. I chugged the water and
made my way to my room, stripping off the uncomfortable dress and heals, letting my hair go loose
as I motioned to the dresser to find something to wear. Rummaging through the drawers I found many
different outfits so I picked out one that suited me. I pulled on shorts with an army print and a pure white tank
top as I got into bed and turned on the tv, sitting there for hours just watched the past games as I heard a knock on
my door...
