Onyx groaned as he began to come to. His eyes remained shut and he didn't want to open them as he felt the light blaring down on him. He wondered if he was back in the Arena that everything had been a dream. Had he really won? Had it all just been his imagination? Or was he dead? A gruff, humor-less chuckle came from the back of his throat at the thought of dying. He hadn't died as he remembered it.
His ocean blue eyes slowly came open and the immediately squinted as the lights hurt his eyes. Onyx's hand moved and laid over his eyes to shield them from the light as they adjusted slowly. The first thing, minus the pain from the light, was that the pain in his head was gone. There was no fuzzy over draft from the pain; he could actually fully think straight.
Onyx removed his hand from his face finally as he came to. He shifted up into a sitting position against the pillows. His eyes drifted around the room taking in the plain room with no color. There was nothing familiar in the room, he sorta assumed that it was a good thing that he didn't see anything familiar; he may have broke down into tears.
"Glint...?" Onyx waited a moment before saying her name again, "Glint?" His voice had raised a bit in volume as he didn't see her around the room. His heart beat was beginning to pick up and the machine he was connected to began to make louder noises as it read his pulse and respiration. His eyes ran the room and he began to pull at the IVs in his arm that were the way for the last of the medicines he needed to get into his arm.
Onyx wasn't thinking fully as he tried to get the IV out without hurting himself, but he was to worried about Glint to honestly care. The problem was that he didn't want this to be a repeat of him likely to lose Poppy when he got home. He wanted at least one person to hold onto and that person was becoming his district partner. The one he had protected from the District Three girl getting another swing at her... The only other girl he kissed other than the girl waiting for him at home.
"Glint?" Onyx's voice was slightly panicked again as his mind focused in again. He pulled at the IVs again, but the medicine was fogging up his actual strength and filling his nerves up at a higher pace to the pain. It hurt worse than when he felt the arrows enter his body, or so he was beginning to think. He just wanted a different way out of this. His thoughts began to filter off again as his eyes laid on the IVs trained into his arm. He didn't know how to get them out without getting blood everywhere and he was near the point of actually ripping them out.
